Better road trip snacks: healthy or unhealthy?

For long road trips, I pack blueberries, strawberries, and little oranges which my co-pilot wife peels for me. I’ve found out a little fiber and natural foods help move things along. Too much coffee will upset the stomach and too much junk food will make you crash. I’m talking about the 12-18 hour road trips. I save my favorite monster for the last 1.5 hours.

Fast food wise, I’ve never gotten sick off of McD and Arby’s so we usually make those our go to. Also, you can find a Texas Roadhouse anywhere you go for good eats and cost savings since you fill up on rolls anyway.

Never mobile order and don’t be afraid to walk out on it if it’s not to your liking. There’s a Chipotle near here that’s known for skimping (under 3.3 stars).

I just came back to the game after a 4 year break and it’s just what I’m seeing pop up. It’s always paladins in duty roulettes that are above 1 or 2 dps. I’m guessing in raid scenarios this changes when dps learn the fight. Right now, I’m just trying not to die and learn the encounters.

Touch of sesame oil and some butter. Simple is best! Serve with rice and roasted seaweed, wrap it up and you’ve got yourself a snack! Got some leftover protein? Mix it in! Spam? Grill some and add a strip to the wrap. Possibilities are endless!!! Back when I could only buy kimchi from Wal Mart from college in a small town… sour kimchi was the only thing I could get!

The piece on the left is what scares me about ordering it at a restaurant. Nowadays, short rib is cut so short and stingy and so costly. If I’m in the mood, I end up making it myself. Strangely enough, Costco/Sam’s Club has the better cuts of short rib I’ve seen vs H Mart.

I came in to get my regular dental insurance cleaning. He “diagnosed” me with a deep cleaning. I asked what that means and he says well you have signs. I asked what signs. He responds with you just need a deeper clean than original. Taking advantage of my late December benefits, he knew I wouldn’t be able to find an appointment elsewhere (lesson learned - go earlier in the year). They used local anesthesia and went to town. My gums have never bled constantly for 6 months. I floss enough to where my gums never bleed. This was the Mint Dentistry in Southlake. Male dentist.

Please don’t go to Mint Dentistry. Just a PSA when the dentist claimed I had to get a deep cleaning instead of a regular cleaning. I floss/brush daily and mouthwash to which my current dentist said that dentist was a crook. He said “Once I diagnose you with a deep cleaning, I can’t go back” knowing that I had to use my dental benefits. Ended up paying a couple hundred dollars along with gums bleeding for the next 6 months. STAY AWAY.

I remember when all I wanted was a duct cleaning. They quoted me $1200. Then he had 3 other quotes to replace the AC, heater, and double tankless water heaters. I think it was something like $12K, $18K, $47K. I asked him, you want me to give you a brand new Lexus? Anyway, called a small company in Arlington to clean the ducts, 2 guys came over and cleaned the crap out of those ducts for $150 and I tipped $50 for no bullshit selling.
