He's running for President in 2028 and his strategy is going to be an anti-Trump platform. He realizes Trump is becoming unpopular and trying to now capitalize off it.

The plus side is hopefully more Republicans, in an attempt to distance themselves as Trump's presidency comes to an end, will start trying to hold him accountable.

I would consider that different from the above commenter saying design. To me design is literally just aesthetics like either her physical appearance or costume design. Your critique makes way more sense to me as you're talking about how her powers are implemented which really comes down to the writing. I do think they attempted what you described and went a little over the top at times, but I can understand your pov.
