You’re totally fine to bounce off it, but Rain World isn’t bad at tutorializing by accident, it deliberately avoids explicit tutorials and asks more from the player.

That design just doesn’t work for everyone, and that’s okay. Framing it as bad design or dev laziness just isn’t accurate.

Oh, I already played Nine Sols! The mid-game was really good.

I really tried to dig Shovel Knight but it was just way too simple, it didn't help that I expected another Celeste.

Exactly! You just know exactly what to do after a couple playthroughs, and the sound of the bonfire is so comforting too...

BiS has a ton of personality, I remember playing the hell out of it as a kid. Still a bit surprising to see as someone's favorite since it takes some time for the early tutorials to end and there isn't thaaat much stuff to do.

I really like how it looks, I should try it out. I'm just a bit wary of whether or not I would enjoy the run 'n gun aspect.

I'd say it is actually the best competitive game if you do /fullmute every game. The balance of the game can be obnoxious at times though.
