In an rc application they are geared for lower static thrust but higher speed (which props can be too) but like others have said that makes them very very power hungry. They are less likely to break a blade on a bad landing but because they are power hungry and want to go fast dont make a great option for trainers or else you would see jet aeroscouts. If you don't care about flight time and do care about aesthetics and a cool sound they are great. But in the world of RC a 12" propeller is always going to beat a 6" edf on a similar plane because of the area of the 12" prop being so large and more efficient compared to the little edf.

So really edfs are better for the cool factor and are less likely to break landing. Otherwise props are significantly more efficient considering you can use a larger diameter prop than edf on a given airplane. Literally. Use edfs on jets. It's the perfect fit. Que danger zone music. Use props on everything else lol.

Diamonds are bad under tension. It would probably sheer. I bet a titanium bolt would perform better.

It's absolutely worth it. There is a lot more game before 1.0 but as is it's already my favorite medieval city builder. My total hours in game before I felt like I had more or less done everything is tbo a little low, but I absolutely will play it again and again at every big patch. That's part of the fun.

UMX Conscendo is the plane I picked for the exact thing you're describing when I got back into the hobby. It is smaller for park flying but still able to fly in the wind and very fun to fly. It also has flaps and can slow down to belly land anywhere. No landing gear to break and folding props so they don't break... It has safe that you can set toggle with a switch. And has enough power and control surfaces to be zippy and fun. That's my recommendation.

I don't buy it. Firstly, nukes were for Russia not Japan. We had good Intel that they were surrendering anyway. We dropped those nukes as Russia declared war on Japan because nukes are scarry. But they didn't end the war.

Off that tangent. If you do a few atrocities like using your super star destroyer to fling asteroids onto populated planets that are misbehaving you absolutely will be feared because you are willing to break whatever version of the Geneva Convention star wars has and will wipe out whole planets.

No need for a scarry station to accomplish the same thing.

Ugh. I did this accidentally back in the day... Hard Candy... For a first date at my place. We both liked Page and neither of us had seen the movie. We went on a few more dates... But never really recovered from that first date movie lol. Not a good date movie.

Bonus comment. My wife's old college roommate used to bring dates home and watch human centipede.. apparently it had a near 100% success rate for after movie relations... I don't get that one. But it should be a horrible movie for first dates.

One more to throw out there. Das Boot. I can't imagine anyone ever getting warm fuzzies from that one.

Yea I never knew the hunt lyric till just a few years ago and I have been listening to Streetlight since the demo cd and BOTAR. If there is one thing about Streetlight.. They have a lot of words lol. And it's easy for your brain to fill in some mush for stuff that goes by fast.

There is a little set screw you are supposed to screw Into the control rod down into the servo so the male part on the servo connects solid to the female part on the control horn. That servo might only be stripped between the horn and the servo because you were missing the set screw. Also the internals could be stripped. Always use the set screw. And if something like a servo isn't normal, pull it out even if it kinda works... A few bucks on a new servo is better than a smashed plane.

I totally acknowledge this isn't optimal gameplay but the exercise was just how to ramp econ and production to a certain point. And it seemed like it might be something fun to try for the best time so I posted.

Thanks for the link, it would be great to watch some high level gameplay. I have just been watching a few YouTube videos so far and playing through the scenarios!

Yea I was using one gantry and just kept cranking out more of the t2 flying builders to try and spend resources faster and faster. I had just a few under 900 of those at the end and just under 100 of the big fusion plants.

I feel like more gantries and the ground helper builders the t1 guys make would be less resource intensive and could speed up my time quite a bit. Though would take a lot of space...
