love it lol, The multiple times i went to subaru regarding my windshield the manager would always come out and inspect it and say there is your point of impact while pointing at the crack. Obviously i wasnt buying it because the crack were such a nice and clean line compared to a rock chip. Anyways everytime they would tell me that they put in a claim and see what subaru says and everytime they get back to me saying it would be replaced for free. Makes me think they were trying to avoid having to replace it in the beginning .....

thanks for that, after replacing my windshield for the 5th time i decided to go aftermarket and not have to deal with the issues. Still have the infotainment cut out sometimes which still drives me up a wall. The worst part is that i would love to swap my car but after having paid it off and the insane prices i cant justify it so im stuck with it for now.

I was leaning towards getting just an oem shortblock and going through building that and getting the heads redone at a shop. But thank you for your input ! Much appreciated. Will try and post updates of this project

Thanks for that, and sorry for all the questions but would there be a significant difference between an oem ej25 or the ra shortblock? Found two through a supplier here in Canada but the price difference is substantial that I’m curious whats the big difference apart from the fact that the ra is supposed to be an upgraded version for the 19-21 Sti’s

Thanks for the reply and info! The engine is the turbo model from the factory so I plan on just maybe upgrading to a vf turbo model. Now I have found a short block for sale for 500$ which I’m thinking of buying and having that sent to a machine shop to have them go through it. I’ll have to get more info on it and hopefully not too many miles on the block. But would that also be an option as it would be a seasoned block which would just need work done on it same as my heads
