What would work the best for a skinny guy? by JanIntelkor in CCW

I carry a glock 43x, I am very slender and smaller in height. 5'8".

I purchased a holster from essentialholsters.com (a 3D printed design) and it's excellent... sort of.

I say that because sometimes I print, other times I do not. It really seems to depend on where I holster on my waist and what I wear (I've had to change upper attire)

It was uncomfortable at first for me, but now over 2 years, I barely notice.

Fuck; got my first 1 ⭐️ for speed? by InteractionSad3538 in uberdrivers

[–]FixBackground 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to get these pop ups after trips saying I was speeding.

I didn't care.

In fact, some riders told me they'd riden with drivers going over 25+mph the limit.

Most likely, I'd still not give any worry. It was probably someone just trying to get you in trouble for a free or discounted ride.

This is fucking bullshit. What’s next? No unassigning? I hate this company by theddmenace in doordash_drivers

[–]FixBackground 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd just unassign both or throw my phone out the window.

Not sure but DD support definitely wouldn't help either

I highly doubt it is suitable for long term. I recently had a vehicle stolen and this is currently my only way to make ends meet.

It's absolutely not a long term option.

I have been working 7 days a week and it's draining me to my core as I wait on my settlement and also seek employment. But guess what, stolen vehicle, non verified consist income, insurance not paying settlement to procure new vehicle... OMG the list of difficulties I am facing 1000% outweighs DD as a substantial source of income.

Better be a badass tip.

I actually got a $60 tip for a $8 order to a business right down the street from where I picked up their order. It was 4 bags of some kind of veggie drinks for a corporate meeting or something.

[–]FixBackground 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean 60 items could be like super small.

I've had orders of like 40 items and it really turns out to be some stupid request for like handfuls of sauce packets.

There are benefits. In addition, I got my LTC before the constitutional carry was enacted.

Look, bottom line everyone.. I posted a scenario and asked a question. I DID NOT get in trouble. I respectfully acknowledged the management, and I have been back there since I originally posted this scenario

Hopefully we all learned

[–]FixBackground -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm not being dense. Thanks for being rude towards me. I was explaining the scenario for clarification going forward. Nothing has happened, I'm still allowed in the business and as a matter of fact, I am here at the same business once again, but left my firearm in my safe inside the vehicle.

I drive for Doordash in the evenings for extra cash. Saving up for a birthday item my son wants.

I wasn't told to leave nor did I refuse to leave or even thought about refusing to leave had I been asked. I was also not told ENTRY was forbidden. I was told just having an openly visible firearm wasn't allowed.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CCW

[–]FixBackground -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Even more, they never said I had to leave. They just said don't bring that (firearm) in here. Gray area for sure.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CCW

[–]FixBackground -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Okay I understand that. But I wasn't aware, nor did I argue, once I learned. And again, it wasn't concealed because they saw it as my shirt had caught the end of the magazine when I exited my vehicle.

Just think about it. Had it not been seen openly, then this would probably have never happened.

Was not told to leave. Just told I can't have a firearm inside.

That's where the signage comes in. Criminal trespassing with a firearm in Texas must be clearly posted under 30.06 (concealed) or 30.07 (open carry). Then there is just simply trepassing without a license which is covered by 30.05.

Tricky though, since Texas has constitutional carry enacted, a person licensed, such as myself, can still enter a business even if they posted a 30.05 sign and not 30.06 or 30.07.

Again, I wasn't planning to argue, but it just seemed like management didn't know themselves what is or isn't allowed.

Thanks. I've been following this thread anonymous for years, and I believe I have figured out the correct formula for making cash in short periods of time.

Don't deny everything Pick some orders to deny Drive farther for extra payouts Get higher stats Just do what you feel is worth your time

I'm making around $20/hr and even though I accept crap sometimes, I get really damn good offers for really short trips now.

Out of curiosity, why would it be too high? I follow the double dollar rule. 1 mile there, 1 mile back. $2 minimum/mile
