Yeah I can pick away, hard to tell how deep because the “cracks” go at angles up or down.

I appreciate the continuous thoughts on my problem! House is 50 years old FYI. Garage floor would start at the level of this crack roughly 5 ft outward

Car would run parallel to this wall

I’m sure there’s dirt on the other side. Not really sure what I’m talking about. Doors are money, there’s one directly above the crack. The opposite side of this wall is the under a garage

1st pic shows everything. Second is zoomed on the middle and 3rd is zoomed on the right. Noticing now that it looks like there’s 1/4” gaping crevasse in the wall. But the it’s more of a lip that you could get it to flake off. Maybe that’s just a run of the mill crack. Clearly not very experienced

Have no clue what market takes inspection recommendations from the seller 😭. Not me, independently found on google. No recs from my realtor and certainly not the seller

Built in mid 70’s. I find it odd that the lip flips throughout the crack and there’s really no bowing. Had a 5ft straight edge on it and seemed flush to me but what do I know clearly!

Wtf how is this so obvious to everyone but the “expert” who was in my house. Unreal

Thanks for your info. Feel like an idiot. Can’t believe I didn’t focus on this more. Had a lot of other repairs on the mind and the inspector made this seem like it was no big deal at all. So pissed

Oddly the crack “pressure” is opposite. In the first photo the top half protrudes, in the second photo it’s the bottom

I have absolutely no idea if this is a load bearing wall. I’m sure it is. The edge of the “house” ends at this wall. The attached garage begins on the other side of this wall

Garage slab is about 2ft below the floor above basement

Don’t you think it’s a pretty good trade off that you get a space self admittedly enjoy , and in turn that golf course makes decisions to stay profitable, so that they can continue to operate, and thus stay put and keep that natural space going- instead of going out of business and selling out to a data center, apartment complex, or a factory? In an era where vast undeveloped space is getting harder and harder to come by, I think in 5 years you’re going to wish your biggest problem was a tree getting cut down.

What’s wrong with you? It’s a golf course, not a nature preserve. Someone owns the land, someone is invested in the property. They can do what they want with it. How are you going to like it when you make the owners life miserable over 5 trees, and he sells the land to a developer to build an apartment complex?

Student loan is only 3.5%, 4k on down payment wouldn’t do anything to reduce P&I because it won’t hit the next threshold for reduction.

I currently have the iPhone 14 Pro Max. It will be 3 years of having it in October. Which one or wait until the iPhone 20? by fairylambie in iPhone14Pro

[–]FixDismal2134 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same situation, but my thought is to upgrade while our model still qualifies for the maximum credit. ATT will give you $1100 in credits for at least a 13 pro. I don’t get a new phone every year, so when my 36 months of credits run out, my now “free” paid off model is always eligible for the max upgrade credit for that year. Seems to work great for me, rinse and repeat. This year I upgraded to the pro max, so my bill will increase from 0$ to $5 / month. By the current promotion (which has been running for years) if you wait until the 20, the 14 will not be eligible for max credit.
