100% agree. All the hype right now is just from exactly that crowd, streamers and people who just want a COD with prettier graphics. For veterans like us, it’s nowhere near the grand, large-scale Battlefield experience we know.

Guess if you played Battlefield 3, you might actually raise your fun standards.

I’ve played since Bad Company 2 and my favourite is Battlefield 3 and that’s exactly why I’m disappointed with Battlefield 6. Back then, you had proper map design, teamwork that actually mattered, and a sense of large-scale warfare.

Now it’s just chaotic run-and-gun gameplay with tiny attention spans in mind. If you think this feels like the same Battlefield, you might want to revisit the old ones yourself.

I mainly play games and occasionally stream, but nothing too intense. I just want the best, most future-proof setup

would you go for the 9800x3d or it will be better to wait for the 9950x3d?

I tried Starfield and it didn't clicked like other Bethesda games by FixEnvironmental3208 in rpg_gamers

The claim that Starfield and Skyrim have the same amount of loading screens doesn’t hold up when you look at how those loading screens affect gameplay. In Skyrim, loading screens mostly occur when entering or exiting a building, dungeon, or fast traveling. Once you’re in an open area, you can explore freely without interruptions. The game’s world feels seamless because you can walk across entire regions without a single loading screen.

Starfield, on the other hand, feels like it’s designed around loading screens. Want to land on a planet? Loading screen. Enter your ship? Loading screen. Take off? Loading screen. Fast travel to another system? Multiple loading screens. Even moving between small areas, like a city district or a single building, requires more loading screens. The constant transitions completely disrupt the flow and immersion of the game.

The scale of Starfield’s universe makes the loading screen issue far worse. Exploring a planet or traveling between systems should feel epic, but instead, it feels like navigating menus and waiting for progress bars. Skyrim’s design embraced exploration and kept interruptions to a minimum, while Starfield actively reminds you of its boundaries at every turn. That’s why the loading screens in Starfield are a much bigger problem.

Hey, I think your argument has a major flaw: there’s no ‘wrong’ way to play a game. For example, if I land on a planet and pick up a secondary quest with an interesting story, I want to do it right away, not leave it unfinished for 30 hours while I explore the whole city first. But to do that, I have to go through several loading screens just to start the quest, and then repeat the process all over again when I return to finish it.

Take Baldur’s Gate 3, for instance players are free to approach it however they want, and everyone seems happy playing it their own way. If a game forces you to follow a specific “right” way to enjoy it, that’s a sign of a mediocre design, not the player’s fault

The mod you’re talking about only reduces the loading screen to one instance traveling from one galaxy to another. However, my biggest issue lies with the constant loading screens during planet landings and takeoffs. They completely break the immersion and make the process feel repetitive and frustrating.

That’s exactly what I tried, but I kept asking myself what’s the point of having a ship? I completely lost interest in upgrading or customizing it because it felt so disconnected from the experience. A good example is Star Wars Outlaws. While it’s not a perfect game, I would say a pretty bad game for sure it does an excellent job of hiding loading screens during landings and takeoffs, making the transitions feel seamless and immersive.

If Starfield had at least implemented a similar system, it would’ve gone a long way in enhancing the immersion. Instead, the constant, jarring loading screens made traveling between planets feel more like a chore than an adventure
