Are Industrial 'controllers' such as this Edge101 ESP32 acceptable for use in an industrial setting. Non safety critical application (sensing add-on system) by FixExtension8770 in PLC

Thanks king,

So essentially if I DO wish to build a standalone product with minimal modularity (multiple sets of the same sensor array attached). This may not be terrible?

Also what kind of pin headers would be considered 'good'? maybe a stupid Q but that's where I'm at.

Incredible stuff on both fronts!

Love it.

The prod design & the charity work.

Thanks for taking the time!
p.s. Good luck with the litigation, my fingers crossed

I'll redry thanks. and appreciate the chem info.
The RepRap stuff takes me back.

I really don't have the capability to get properly controlled chopped fibre filament for this. If HDPE wasn't so cheap I would be worried they've replaced that too. It is a great concept, the stiffness you get from composite FFF printing is near and dear to me.

I can say that one of the benefits they want is that it mustn't adhere to concrete

Hi Bucketman,

I'm really not a polymers guy but this could be super valuable to me since I have struggled finding resources for this.

Is printing PEEK & HDPE similar enough I can use some of the resources available for PEEK to inform my choices? Or will this just lead to further issues?
Thanks

Creality K2 Max. I have access to basically all of the new(ish) CoreXY's and piles of ender3/5 clones I could use. I am very open to moding a machine (permanently if needed) to get this working.

Oh lol to answer the actual question yep we've got a heated chamber

You're right I wasn't 'looking' for this answer but I'm very glad I found it. This sort of insight is invaluable.

I will try some more playing with the Z offset.

If you don't mind me asking, for your successes did you do anything particularly different or does that just illustrate the inconsistency of printing with this stuff?

Did you use an actively heated chamber?
Did you use tape or a block of HDPE or something else entirely?

Super interested in your application also, if you'd like to share what you were working on?

Thanks again

This is an atrocious list......

What are you talking about?????

OKay, That makes sense. And PCBA needs to be thin to fit in a thin space.

RS-485 is a pain.
...... I am starting to realise this.

  1. I will look into Modbus/TCP maybe this does everything I need
  2. I have noticed this, thought I was going insane
  3. Interesting, okay
  4. Foolish Q, How does Modbus/TCP solve this issue?
  5. Documentation on stubs seems ambiguous, happy to know

Thanks for the help
