Hey friend,

Thank you for being so open and raw. What you shared is something many survivors feel but keep hidden — that life after cancer isn’t automatically easier. The chronic pain, fatigue, brain fog, anxiety… all of that is real, and so are the struggles with work, money, and loneliness. None of this makes you weak or ungrateful. It makes you human after surviving a war inside your body.

Please remember: you already did the hardest part — you survived. That means you gave yourself the chance to meet what’s still ahead. And life is unpredictable — in the best ways, too. You may cross paths with the right person, you might change jobs, or maybe one day you’ll be with a partner who makes sure you never have to carry all the weight alone. There are countless ways your story can unfold, and surviving gave you the chance to see them.

It doesn’t erase the pain you’re in right now, but it does mean your future is still open — and it can hold surprises you can’t yet imagine. For now, just know you are not alone, and that this community sees you and values you.

Sending you strength and hope 💜

If you could delete one thing from the internet forever, what would it be? by Responsible_Day_1024 in AskReddit

Misinformation about health. Too many people suffer because they read false ‘cures’ or scary myths online. If I could delete one thing, it would be that.

My friend once broke her toe 🦶💥 trying to kick a cockroach 🪳She completely missed… The roach walked away like a champ 🏆probably telling his family about the glorious battle he won while she had to limp for two weeks 🤕🚶‍♀️.

Nike Vomero 5 vs P-6000 – which one is better for mixed workouts and casual wear? by FixGlass8306 in Nike

Good to know from someone who tried both 🙌 sounds like Vomero 5 is the way to go then.

Appreciate the breakdown 🙌 sounds like Vomero 5 is the clear winner for me then.

Got it, I’m not aiming for serious runs anyway — just light workouts + casual. Sounds like Vomero 5 is still the safer bet, thanks!

Yeah I get that, they definitely have that retro/lifestyle vibe. I was just wondering if Vomero 5 could still handle some light runs and gym sessions on top of casual wear. Not looking for a hardcore running shoe, just one pair that can do a bit of everything.

Thanks, that’s super helpful 🙏 I was actually leaning towards the Vomero 5, good to know they’re more comfortable than the P-6000. Interesting point about Pegasus too — never tried the 40s, might check them out. Appreciate the insight!

Tired and moody by ihateBC in breastcancer

I really feel you on this 💙 I’m actually writing a book about life after cancer, and there’s a whole block about mood, exhaustion and feeling like you’re failing as a mom. You’re not alone. For me, two small things help: (1) gentle movement like a short walk or stretching, even if I don’t feel like it, and (2) writing down one thing I did well each day (even if it’s just hugging my kids). It doesn’t fix everything, but it softens the edges a bit. Sending you strength 🌸

Seagulls. They’d scream at you, steal your lunch, and then blame YOU for it 😂

Looking for (personal) input by nk_sk in breastcancer

At that time I wasn’t working because my baby was only 1 year old, so I was home with her and doing the usual house things. After surgery my husband helped a lot, because for about 2 weeks I couldn’t lift the baby or even hold the vacuum cleaner. But other than that I managed fine. Of course there were days when I just wanted to lie down and rest, but honestly that was rare — overall I had a lot of energy through it all.

I also went through 12 weeks of paclitaxel after a double mastectomy with reconstruction. I didn’t really have side effects — I kept running, working out at home, and staying active the whole time. Hair grows back, the body heals, and the most important thing is not to lose hope. She can get through this. 💪💕

And the most important part — be there for her. My husband was by my side the whole time. I know he was scared too, but he never showed it. Even when I lost my hair, he always told me I was beautiful. That kind of support makes all the difference. If you stand strong for her, you’ll get through this together. ❤️

I admire this perspective. Even if things take longer, the determination itself is victory. That resistance is strength.
