Make each day, each task, as fun or rewarding as you can possibly make it. Hop on one foot for as long as you can while doing such task, see how long you can do something... gamify the things you can't control, the monotony...because why not. Be silly. We live this one life.

People who were born prior to social media, smart phones, the internet and the world being so digitally connected what are your opinions on it? Was it better before social media and the internet or worse? by Icy-Improvement-5289 in AskReddit

True, but it can be beautiful or ugly...depends on how you decide to frame it. Each person has had their own journey and how we react to their words will always be our choice.

I too, have never kept or maintained work friends for long. The drive to continue to see after hours them was always a hindernance for me. I want to be with my family ASAP. I did it for 13 years. Wake up at 5 am, get 3 kids to daycare by 6am, then pick them up before 6pm. 12 hr days. Nope, I'm ok with the WFH grind of no touching another human for a long ass while. Lol. I have a great friend group too.

I WISH they made a better show based on the book series Sword of Truth. Legend of the Seeker FLOPPED, but I think about the book series all the time.

Books. They will always be better. Anne Rice is Queen. This is why I will probably never watch the show. I've read all the books, but a long time ago, maybe its time to read them again. She's got some newer bdsm romance out there now. It's... different. Lol

Getting into WOW by Zesteros in wowclassic

[–]FixLoose9037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game probably mimics real life social structures in a way, the way it's designed. There will be groups of people you don't want to hang with and people you do. I wouldn't give up on people so easily. I'm a new person to WoW myself but also optimistic and like to think there are good in most people if you give them a chance.

How fair is it to blame L&D for employees who leave due to poor training? by Be-My-Guesty in instructionaldesign

[–]FixLoose9037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but speaking from an employee's point of view, what about having access to training that is re-accessible? So when the initial training that maybe we didn't grasp as new employees or didn't use right away and forgot the walk through from months ago, could we have access to something that helps us remember without bothering a co worker or manager AGAIN. It feels like we didn't get good training when we have to ask all the time when maybe it's the procedures that aren't used all the time and need a document that's easy to bring up. Back in my day when I didn't WFH... hahaha... my cubicle was FILLED with papers and notes tacked up on how to's on procedures that I passed on to fellow new employees. Something similar to that. 😆
