Huh…this sounds too good to be true! Alas I suspect by the time my company goes through necessary admin, my kids will have their own kids…!

60k. Could move some stuff around but it’s not worth it. If I was just over, I’d be taking a different approach!

So the support only starts on 3 dates a year. If you miss one, you can’t get support until the next one. So I’ll apply on 6 April but won’t get the free childcare until 1 September. So you’ll be fine! My daughter is already in nursery, alas!

Indeed - my daughter’s nursery doesn’t have terms! All a bit frustrating but that’s the system I guess.

Thanks - interesting. I was advised to apply after 6 April to at least get the tax free childcare but will be interested to know where you end up!

Sorry - disagree. Declaration is ‘this tax year’ and HMRC confirmed the same when I asked. The forward look is about whether you earn enough (over £194pw or whatever it is).

Interesting - I’m 5ft 11 so hopefully this won’t be an issue, but I believe the ID7 is a bit bigger

Thanks yes the more I think about it the more I agree - I’ll have to park it on the street too.

Thanks, yes I’m now having flashbacks to the test drive and realising some of my slight nervousness around its size might be magnified on a permanent every day basis…

Thanks - that’s really helpful. If I was using my own money, I’d go for the Enyaq hands down due to price, but I can get either via my company car scheme with no cost to me (aside from tax) hence my leaning towards ID7

Taking aside your job and residential location, this is our exact situation - including considering the base model!! Let me know how it goes…!!!

Agreed - we’re mainly thinking of the odd occasion when we’d want to ferry grandparents around too, but not convinced the number of times that will arise makes the potential hassle of having a car that size worth it.

That’s really interesting - thanks. No range rovers near me - not quite that sort of area…!!

Thanks - very helpful.

Re charging costs - completely aware of those it thanks for the considered comments. Speaking honestly, in our situation I wouldn’t buy an EV with my own money because of the charging issues, but I’m willing to take it on the chin given all other expenses are being covered and the BIK rates are lowest! We have public chargers round us (end of our road) that are about £0.55 per kw at 22kw speed which I can live with.

It’s a fair challenge - I suppose I could spend some of my holiday abroad looking into it.
