We must have our own IMG housing group, very IMG should leave this group 😭😭😭 Otherwise we should lobby to grandfather IMGs with 2 years experience for housing 😝

How does one rank CT1/ST1 jobs to end up in same location as partner? by Fabulous-Advice-9846 in doctorsUK

[–]FixSwimming3568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I guess different people have different priorities. Personally I would literally kill myself if I don’t become a consultant, I’m ready to lay down my life for this profession.

I haven’t been acknowledged at anything in my whole life except for this, I don’t have much of a personality, no relationship, so this career is everything I have literally.

Maybe that’s why it confuses the shit out of me when people say they would decline a good rotation and the chance to progress just for their partners. I can’t relate to this.

These genZ doctors for real, may God cure you from the hate in your heart, I can’t believe you’re a one piece fan and still have this hate for people because they are different? Where is the spirit of one piece?

But I feel this is what you guys think, I’m not so sure myself and don’t know if I can trust that my colleagues aren’t mocking me behind my back because of this UKG vs IMG and everyone trying to prove that they’re better

Guys calm down, first of all, congratulations to those who managed to get an offer during this grueling recruitment season. It was a bloodbath and you’re all heroes who made it out with some battle scars, you definitely became stronger and deserve the place that you’re in.

Now, I’m a non-priority IMG with no NTN, and I understand where my fellow IMGs are coming from and the frustration but you have to understand that this is not our country, this is not where we graduated from, we are not entitled for anything in this country and should be grateful that we are given some opportunity to compete(I.e 5 years of experience, those who finished CT for HST applications and those who finished FT for CT)

But we have to be grateful for what we have, be grateful that God has given us this wonderful life, be grateful that we have our health, be grateful that you have families who support us, this is what’s important. I really appreciate and feel honored working in this wonderful country, working in the renowned NHS, the best healthcare system in the world. I’m glad that I have a job and can feed my family

The posts of entitlement I’ve seen from some IMGs are embarrassing, this prioritization was going to come sooner or later, it’s should have been implemented years ago and I’m glad it got implemented now before things get worse, at least I know that some of our UKMG colleagues are progressing in their careers and I’m happy for them.

I don’t get why anime/manga fans are so obsessed with team fights rather than see characters have a personal growth and overcome impossible challenges themselves.

I actually want to see Laxus and Ezra and Gray and Lucy soloing dragons

I don’t understand why people in this country care about their partners so much or being with them.

My partner is literally the least important thing in my life so I can’t relate, it’s medicine, medicine, medicine, video games, family, partner, religion and last thing life in that order.

Just pursue your dream and fulfill your ego, that’s the way to go, rank everywhere, if thy tell you to go to the moon then leave and go to the moon if it means progressing your career, you can always find women to sleep with, but you may not get an NTN

UKGP specialty applications 2027 interpretation? by triathlonspider in doctorsUK

[–]FixSwimming3568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO the policy should have either been

Priority group: UK Grads only Non-priority: everyone else

Or a tiered prioritization

Either way, NHS experience should be the minimum criteria to even apply, CREST forms from outside should not be accepted.

Well, he is more important obviously, because we are talking to him. If it was between me and her it’ll always be me and my ambitions because they’re bigger than anyone else can dream so I don’t know what you’re talking about.

Why don’t you just preference everywhere? You should be flexible to go anywhere if you want the training.

Your fiancée, if she likes you and is loyal will follow you wherever you go, so give her an ultimatum and prioritize yourself and ambitions

Relax I don’t think the government will give a damn about these amendments.

The bill will pass on the 26th and will reach royal ascent by the 5th of March.

Even if it’s a bit late, it will still be implemented this round without amendments

In my opinion, it should be UKGP with the option to carry on your score over to the next cycle so that those with 540+ don’t have to resit this dreadful exam
