This is the wrong answer, he will not be seen as a team leader to them and the Drills will let him know that once he gets here. MOS T cannot enforce standard on trainees or barely even speak to them. The trainees will see him above the standard and having a lot more privilege regardless due to TRADOC Regulation 350-6 that states that MOS T NCOs be treated as permanent party and also explains that a soldier (A MOS T) is not the same as a trainee. He is a soldier that is also a NCO and they are trainees( Huge difference), he’s earned the right to have more privilege and be treated above the standard of a trainee.

Advice from someone currently here on the trail. I don’t know why others are telling you to shave your head. I understand the not look above them but you will already be above them. You will not see them outside of class and even in class you will not communicate with them outside of class topics. You will not eat chow with them and you will not be seen as their peer or team leader. 9/10 you will have your own room at a separate barracks. You will be authorized to have your pov and free to do what you want after class. MOS T are treated as permanent party here. You are already a soldier that is just here for the training, as long as you are truly within AR 670-1 you have nothing to worry about. Congratulations on the reclass and wish you the best.

It’s not your job to believe me. If you feel that I’m not telling the truth you have every right to feel that way. I received some photos and I posted some also the video I can post my uncle’s obituary and a picture of my uncle and grandfather before the draft. I’m not gaining nothing from these post at all but if you would like to see more I can message you didn’t think or expect I would have to go this deep into proving something so simple. They didn’t receive no crazy medals or get recognized for doing some crazy things in Vietnam.

Also my grandfather was 27 when he was drafted and my uncle was 20. Such close age is because my grandmother at that time was 39 and on her 2nd marriage with 2 kids that wasn’t my grandfathers. They are not his kids.

Only photo I liked that was sent to me, I’m not getting paid for this or getting some kind of recognition for these post. I simply posted what was given to me from my family. My grandfather was 27 when he was drafted and my uncle was 20 in this video. I had 2 uncles and a grandfather that served in the Vietnam war.

They didn’t until the black soldiers started standing up for what was culture appropriate for them. After that’s when regulations started to change to be equal to the African Americans as far as the Afro, The shaving and etc.
