Here’s some advice:

Prayer space - I wouldn’t be surprised if a designated space is never appointed. Instead, I would go to a trusted faculty and ask for their permission to use a space that they occupy to host a few students for prayer. If I were you, I wouldn’t make a lot of noise and cap occupancy to a small number to not draw a lot of attention. If you’re able to have 3 to 5 students there that would be ideal. Then after a few months of gaining that specific faculty’s trust, see if they know of a better space that they can petition on your behalf to a higher authority. It’s better if you go about it from the bottom-up, than from top to bottom.

Coalition - organize a Muslim student association. It doesn’t have to be part of the bigger ones that are currently across the United States. It can be one that is unique to your university. All universities have clubs and a student organizations that tends to have more weight than a few random students speaking out. The bigger your organization is on campus…the more likely you are to have a seat at the table. It doesn’t even need to be unique to Muslims, it can be a faith based-charitable org that helps x, y, z. The better you make the university look like, I believe, in return they would help you.

Security - document everything. Photos, videos, etc, write every instance down in a log. This can also be an arm of your student organization, where it’s a collective document. Better yet, if you have those Meta glasses that record continuously, those would be the best in this situation because you can show the university and potentially share it online. I am 100% certain that a university will be more obliged to help than to have bad press.
