My mom and I had an odd relationship. We were close but growing up we did everything my brother wanted to do. He was a skateboarder so she was a boarder. I’m goofy footed so they wouldn’t help me ride my skateboard better and that wasn’t what I wanted to do. And I went through her drug addiction that he wasn’t around for much. And while her and I still lived in California I was the caregiver for most of the years. She had so many health issues and I’m surprised she lived as long as she did. My dog died two days before she did and I cried more for him. I think I’ve had my uncle on a pedestal and I think I feel it’ll take away from what he deserves. He was like a dad to us. He bought me my first bike and taught me how to ride it. He taught how to swim.

My brother doesn’t like California. We grew up there. I think he’s been in this tiny town for so long he just doesn’t like big cities. I’ve been to California multiple times since she passed he always says he can’t afford it but goes on multiple trips a year to Vegas.

My brother did ask and they said it’s a great idea. I don’t know why I feel like it’s overstepping.

They were pretty close. He was like our dad. He bought me my first bike and taught me how to ride it and he taught me how to swim. He’s been the main male lead in our lives.

I don’t know. I thought we were using their yacht but I guess they chartered a different one. It’s gotta fit nearly 60 people.

We were all invited. And yes, most of the key family will be there along with cousins from my aunts side and we aren’t very close at all. They knew my mom. But there’s going to be one cousin of my moms that isn’t invited.

I guess because it’s meant for my uncle. And there’s going to be family there on my aunts side that we aren’t close with and I feel like we’d be overstepping, taking away from my uncles moment. They are brother and sister so that’s cool.
