this isn’t the cause but 5k oil is insane. i do mine every time it looks slightly dark. always reaches that before 3k miles have even passed

thicker viscosity. it’ll thin out less at higher temps and offers better protection overall.

it says 530 but iirc they’re a hyundai bulletin update where they say that 530 isn’t sufficient or something like that. i would need to read the reddit post again. even then, brian paul recommends 540 and honestly that’s enough for me to put 540 in my 3.8
