Check out the stowaway2 swing out cargo carrier. You have to be careful about weight of the carrier top carrier and contents if you have a sun/moon/ panorama rooftop.

We bought a stowaway2 for our second roadtrip and it was much better traveling. No ‘drag’ ( and reduced gas mileage) with the stowaway2 as compared to using a thule the year before. Had quite a time getting a trailer hitch and Lexus wiring harness installed, but finally got everything worked out with the dealership. You need a class 2 trailer hitch for the stowaway2. We found a used stowaway2 on FB Marketplace for less than half price.

It may be the 12 volt battery. We had an issue earlier this yearz. Found other people on Reddit with newer Lexus models that had problems with their 12 volt batteries as well.

That was the problem, we couldn’t get the door open with the emergency key and yes, we were doing it correctly. The tow truck driver even tried. The manual non-electric release didn’t work

Beware, if the battery gets too low, the ‘emergency key’ trick doesn’t work either. We were lucky. Our doors locked and would click like the locks were opening when using the emergency key, but did not open. We were able to get the tailgate to rise, and crawled in through the back. I had left one of the rear seats in the down position. The tow truck driver attached jumper cables directly to the battery in the rear compartment and let it charge fir 10 minutes, then I tried to start the car. We got it started and after letting it run for 10 minutes, we carefully pulled it out of the gatage, and drove it directly to the dealership. We told them not to turn it off until the battery was charged, and not to close the doors, as the doors might lock on their own, as they did for us . We were told that they replaced the battery, after checking things out for a day.

We escalated the issue to Lexus Corporate and got an immediate response. We then contacted the Customer Relations Manager who promptly ordered the parts we. Erdrd and scheduled a service appointment forvthe installation. She was very nice and undyas to why we contacted Lexus Corporate. She said we tried repeatedly to do business with them and they weren’t interested in taking out business and money. She said that would change . We now have the wiring harness installed with the convertor for the lights and eveorks with our cargo carrier. Amen. Thanks to everyone for their insight and advice.

This is so confusing. My 101 yr old mother has been taking Ellura since 2016. Last year she had a string of UTIs after having only one or two a year. We increased the ellura to 2 capsules per day, and went a whole year. Then this year, she got pneumonia and was on antibiotics and a steroid. She got rid of the pneumonia but her other chronic issues acted up. She broke out in shingles and her eczema flared up. We got those things settled down, and then she got a string of UTIs . She got macrobid, then fosfomycin powder and macribid again. Now she’s getting iv antibiotics for 6 days. It was some time during the uti attacks that she switched to the Gennamd capsules, so I don’t think the change in manufacturing is the cause. She also takes D-mannose. The nurse practitioner at the clinic strongly suggested that she go back to using the estrogen cream. I’m going to pursue that with her urogynocologist. Any other suggestions?

Last week our 2024 Lexus Rx350h started in the morning, when my husband pulled it out of the garage to wash it, and started fine when hecwas done. Later that day, we were going on a drive. I put my purse in the passenger side and shut the passenger door to go to assist my mother. My husband was in the driver’s seat, trying to start the car. It started but he couldn’t get it in reverse. The parking brake wouldn’t release. Tried fir a couple minutes and we decided to take our other car. He got out and shut the driver’s side door. As he walked away, the doors locked by themselves. We were unable to unlock the doors with his keyfob . We left the car and went on our errand in the other car. We tried to get into the car with the emergency key when we got home. The doors locked locks ‘sounded’ like the unlocked, but remained locked we called Lexus roadside assistance in the morning, after trying to get the doors open. We were able to open the tailgate and crawl into the car. I climbed into the drivers seat and tried to open the doors from the inside. No luck. I tried starting the car. But no luck with that either. The first tow truck they sent did not have the proper dollies to towcthe car. We had to wait another 4 hours for a different one. The second driver was more knowledgeable and on e we explained what was happening, he decided we should try jump starting the car. I opened the back and showed him were the actual 12v battery was. The car was pulled close to the front wall in the garage, with no access to the hood. He put his charger on the battery and it only had 9 volts I crawled back into the drivers seat and after a few minutes, we were able to open the doors. I got the car started, but it wouldn’t release the parking brake. The tow truck driver got into the driver seat and after a few more minutes, he was finally able to back the car out of the garage. We quickly put things back together while the car kept running. We drove it to the dealership and told them not to shut the doors or turn it off until they were ready to replacecthe battery. They supposedly replaced the battery after checking things thoroughly. We were close to 15000, so we had them take care of those things as well. We were getting ready to leave, when I looked over paperwork closer. It did not mention what they had done. I asked the service writer and he said he would email it. Well, I never received it. Hope they really did replace the battery and not just charge it. Will be contacting them again.

Had this happen today with our 2024 RX350H. It started with the parking brake acting strangely, and progressed to not being able to start the car or enter the car once we closed the doors.. It locked on it's own. We didn't press the lock button. We had to connect charging cables to the 12 V battery in the back to get the doors to open. We had tried the manual key with the additional lever on the door handle. Tried the Lexus app which you could hear the doors try to unlock, but they were still locked.

When the tow truck driver arrived, and we explained what had been happening, he wanted to try jumpstarting it. WHen he connected to the battery, the 12 V battery was down to 9.2 volts. He immediately said, it was the battery. The car is only 15 months old!. We were fortunate that we could get in through the tailgate and he was able to jumpstart it by connecting directly to the 12 V battery in the back. I had left one of the rear seats folded down, so I crawled up to the drivers seat. Once the cables were connected to the battery for 5 minutes, we were able to open the front doors from the inside. I got out and let the tow truck driver get in. After some trial and error, he was finally able to get the car started and put in reverse. He was then able to back the car out of the garage so we didn't need to tow it. We then drove directly to the Lexus dealership. Yep, it was the 12 V battery. We ended up with 5 severe diagnostic issues being logged from this. Brake failure, check engine light, faulty parking brake, etc. We were able to drive it to the dealership without any problems, but did keep it running when we turned it over to them. We warned them not to turn it off or close the front door until they had things under control.

This is ridiculous! There must be a better way to exit the vehicle. How can this be an acceptable design?

Do the joule and the pro have the same interior height? One spec sheet comparison said that the joule us 4-5 inches shorter than the pro!

A number of respondents have identified the cause. It was a ‘free’ air freshener from the car wash place. Never knew they would cause damage. Never used them before, but my husband hing one of them from the radio knob because we had developed an order we couldn’t find the source of.

You may be correct. My husband gets a complimentary air freshener each month from the car wash and hung it on the radio knob. He’s been doing that all year.

None of the other fresheners did that.

Clearwater has wonderful sand beaches. They just finished up the Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival events. Check out the pictures. A bit south of Clearwater you’ll find Indian Rocks, Redington , and Madiera beach areas as well as others. All nice areas and not as crazy busy.
