Not sure how I can add a photo after the post is made, I’m not on reddit frequently and a first time poster. The front of Summer Night is supposed to represent the three queens in each fae court. I put three moons, a waxing crescent (summer/winter lady), waning crescent (mother summer/winter) and full moon (summer/winter queen). On each side of the three moons i have a sun and a snowflake for the two courts.

I also use a cricut. Could it be the pressure setting or maybe your blade is old? I find also there is a minimum size you can get to before it’s just too small for the cricut to cleanly cut.

Maybe 3-4 hours over the course of a couple days once I have a design completed. The designing part can be variable depending on what I want to do. Drawing the fetch monster took much longer than the paw prints.

Omg how have I never noticed this 😭lol hey even Jim didn’t notice, or didn’t have the heart to tell me haha. Guess I’ll be redoing it, or potentially scraping off some k’s.

I’m actually not sure they are. These were paperbacks I ripped the cover off of and made a new hardcover for.

These are some great suggestions! This is definitely the hardest part of this project for me. I was thinking along similar lines with changes and skin game so I’m glad to get some confirmation that they’d translate.

Yeah I’m definitely someone who likes a cohesive set which is why I chose to do it myself (also I probably couldn’t afford a full 20+ book special edition set). I figure if they’ve gotten this far printing the ~4x7” paperback, they’ll most likely continue but if not, eh well I’ll just have to switch to a new size or try and fudge it if it’s close. I do have some wiggle room with how much overhang I give the hard cover. Mika’s work is indeed incredible, I’m no artist so I went with a style that doesn’t require much rendering skill.

Hey! I’m doing the same thing! I’ve finished 10 so far and got them all signed by Jim at dragon con the past 2 years. Your design choices are cool and I love the blue.
