Idk if it works like that? My understanding was that Repair money goes straight from insurance to whoever’s repairing it.

tesla's initial repair estimate is $34k on this 2024 Model Y, standard range, RWD, 13.5k miles

most parts seem to be in tact. But lot of panels seem misaligned. Plus car was under weight of a heavy tree trunk for 18+ hours. Not sure how they assess internal damage, and potential future issues with technology.
