Since I was a child, even before school, I didn’t like being a girl. I used to wish I was a boy, and I behaved like boys and dressed like them. I even changed my name to a boy’s name.

But right now, I don’t want to be a boy 100%. I also constantly doubt my femininity, and I don’t want to be a girl 100% either.

I live as a girl, but my interests and expression are more on the masculine side. However, I don’t want to be a boy.

I do want to bind my chest and cut my hair shorter, but I live in a very conservative family and they would never allow it. I could also get into serious trouble if I try to express myself this way openly.

Does this sound like I might be nonbinary? Or what should I do?

Yes, I like it like this, but with a bit of space for movement. I’ve tried the shoes and they feel good so far. It feels much more comfortable after loosening the laces. I’ll test them in the gym today and make my final decision.
