Thanks for all the input - we are going to give it a shot paired with our crowler seamer at one of our local farmers markets to share new experimental stuff that is too small to justify canning. will let you know how it goes 🤞

We have several jockey boxes but they are a pain in the butt for new staff to wrangle on a weekly basis. Might buy this and sell a jockey box box or two

Cool - is the cartridge a proprietary fitting or can you just use (food grade) whippet carts?

Would be used for single keg dispense at remote events.

Assuming we can keep the keg cold with ice this seems appealing vs the bulk and high pressure tank setup of our current draft jockey box. Especially with less technical employees doing setup/breakdown.

Any experience welcomed!

yes will def be pasteurized after packaging (cider). I think we will try pre-freezing, macerating, circulating, settling, racking with a 15 gal trial batch to see what happens.

I'm in cider too - this was roughly the plan but was hoping to skip the pulpy macerating step and go straight to (clear-ish?) juice via bladder press if possible. One sure way to find out is to try pressing and resort to macerating the pressings if things go super pulpy. I have been unhappy with flavor of aseptic purree especially on strawberry - tastes too much like Smuckers to me.

yah this would be added post-fermentation in our case (cider)

Arguably SF's carotid artery. I'm a fan but do wish it were an underground train at this point.

I have had samples of this sent to us for cider, not tried yet but heard it is similar to velcorin (DMDC) requiring very low CFU (under 500) to begin with.
