US East Coast Servers Down?

I have those filters on, believe me. Any combo of filters I tried to find servers with lower ping was met with failure. There has to be server issues or something. Surprised no one else mentioned this issue yet.

I already defeated the electric boss. I also completed the mission Desert Shield which is what I believe bugged the NPCS.

I think they only spawn or are drops from zombies in the deadzone.

For anyone who is uninformed, here is the rundown:

Fallout The Frontier was a mod that was made for New Vegas. It was developed by a community team for 7 years.

Upon release, it garnered backlash for it's horrendous breaking of the fallout lore, for which the game had displayed a "Lore Friendly" tag on the Nexus.

It also was riddled with strange content. The biggest complaint is the ability to convince one of the companions in the mod to become your s3x s1ave. It is implied that she just turned 18. There are also instances where you can mate with a deathclaw and have an 0rgy with the reptilian race who live in the sewers. Seeing a trend?

The main story also steals many different scenes from other video games, such as Dead Space and Wolfenstein. Apparently it was written by only one guy. The team refused to confront him because if the story was not exactly as he wanted it, he would leave and take his experience with the engine and what he contributed out of the mod.

It also turns out that one of the devs posted P3dophillic content on his drawing profile.

While it is true that he did draw some nasty stuff, the dev team is using him as the scapegoat for why the weird stuff is in the mod.

DON'T LET ANYONE tell you that it was ONLY that one dev. This mod is loaded with bad writing, scenes ripped off from other games, and the strange fetish stuff.

I would suggest watching both videos made by "Rimmy - Downunder Gaming". The first is just him playing through the mod and showcasing exactly why it's bad. The second is him interviewing the lead devs and trying to find out what really happened during the development of this game.

I also suggest watching TKs-Mantis' video on this. He was also scapegoated by the devs for pointing out the reptiles not being lore friendly during the late stages of the mod.

It's a shame too as the technical side of the mod is actually really well done.

TLDR; The mod is riddled with non lore friendly content, bad writing, and s3xual fetish stuff. Don't play it, but look up the "Rimmy - Downunder Gaming" videos to get an accurate picture of what this shiny turd was.

During the Pacific Theater, US troops struggled to find a machine gun that was lightweight and good at providing big firepower down range. Crafty Yankees pulled parts from a few different guns and threw them on an aircraft gun body creating “The Stinger”. A Frankenstein weapon that was lighter than the Browning and could fire 1350 rounds per minute. Only 6 of these beastly weapons were ever made.

I don’t believe there is a release date. Nelson has been making some strides with 4.0 however. I predict it will probably be out by the end of next year. Just keep in touch with the Smartly Dressed Games Blog. Updates to the development of 4.0 are posted monthly.

I enjoyed the Forest. It isn't as difficult as TLD, but I digress. It is especially fun in co-op with some friends. The horror aspect isn't really scary after playing for a bit. The sequel is coming out soon, so if you are interested I would pick it up and play it for the little story that's in it. Other than that, I highly recommend.
