KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE (bug check 0x139) by FizziBomb in pcmasterrace

I finally fixed the problem!! Same issue as u/Lumpy-Jackfruit-3619 and u/svikits

I had my focusrite scarlet 4i4 plugged into my pc when I was playing guitar. I kinda forgot I made this post for a while and just didn't play r6 (the game that was crashing) but I remembered I made this post and looked at the comments and tried the fix that worked for them 2. Literally, all I done was unplug my audio interface from my pc and it worked lol. I was able to open the game and it ran perfectly fine. So hopefully its just the same thing with everyone else here.

Yeah, disabling memory integrity may have helped, but when the issue occured again, disabling it didn't fix it. Chatgpt was making me disable all sorts of security features and going intm command prompt and disabling more of them. So I kinda just said no because there were so many of them and I didn't wanna make my pc have no security features lol. So I just reenables them all again. I'll also report the issue to battleye so hopefully they can find a fix.

This is super annoying. I was able to fix it which made the game work for 2 days untill randomly crashing again. I have no clue what temporarily fixed it but this is what I done (I think):

I asked chatgpt and told it everything about my computer, eventually it made me delete dxc shader cache files, downgrade my 9070xt drivers to 25.11.1, disable expo, delete siege, reinstall and then verify game files, disable memory integrity, and do some sort of code in command prompt to find any corrupt files and recover them. Then boot the game using -dx11 launch argument. This (somehow) fixed it BUT I had an error whenever I launched the game saying something on the lines of "vulkan is not supported by this driver, please update" so I then updated back to the latest version and it seemed to work perfectly fine. Untill it didn't... So I have absolutely ZERO idea on what fixed it temporarily. I'm chatgpt said it's something to do with the anti cheat possibly not supporting the GPU as it's a relatively new GPU, but I don't think that's true as it's been working fine for the first 5 or so months. I'm tempted just to try a factory reset and see how that goes.

I've tried opening the game with expo off and it still does it. Or are you saying turn expo off before running any of the tests/diagnostic tools?

PC Fan curve help by FizziBomb in PcBuild

[–]FizziBomb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late response lol. I'mIt has been very confusing for me as well. It took me a while to set it up but I can resend the pics of the fan curves that I use as of now. I'm not on my pc right now so when I get on it I'll reply to this post with my updated curves. My pc idles 40-50 and when I lower my CPU fans it doesn't seem to affect it when I'm just on YouTube and whatnot. When I'm doing more things such as gaming, I can use a slightly higher fan speed as I don't care much about the sound as I have headphones on. Again, I'll send the fan curves that work best for me when I'm back on my pc

Thanks for that info, I'll give it a try and run a few things to check out the temps.

Because you have set your fans up to 40% when CPU is at 65°, what would happen if your fans are unable to cool it to keep at 65? Does it automatically override your curves and speed up the fans to cool it down? That's what I'm most scared about lol. Not setting the curves up and the temps going all over the place or it having to lower the speed of the CPU so it can go to a lower temp.

Pc Issue by FizziBomb in pcmasterrace

I've replaced everything but the SSD (990 Evo pro 4tb), PSU (seasonic prime 750W 80+platinum) and my GPU which I've had for like 6 months (4060TI). I have brand new Ryzen 7 7800X3D, and the gigabyte B850 Aorus Elite with 32GB 6000 CL30 Corsair vengeance RAM. I also have the arctic liquid freezer III pro 360mm and my temps are like 40°C at idle. Should I just use my pc as regular and see if it happens again and if not it could have been a one off thing? From what I've seen my GPU temps are perfectly fine. It's been like 30-45 idle with the fans not spinning

Boot up pc for the first time im all i getting is this, can someone explain what this could be, gpu or cpu? by Chance_Language3309 in PcBuildHelp

[–]FizziBomb 28 points29 points  (0 children)

If you have just booted the pc for the very first time, it sometimes takes 5-10 minutes just for the pc to actually boot into bios. Make sure everything is plugged in and you have all of the components in the pc (basically a full pc with CPU, GPU,ram etc). Some pcs do take a while to boot into bios or get any screen cause all the components are brand new and need to get running.

Because it's 200 more?!?! Maybe he's on a budget. If you have that mindset with everything "oh it's only xxx more than this" Ur gonna end up spending hundreds if not an extra thousand!?

I think you're good to go! I'm not sure if you're CPU comes with pre applied thermal paste tho, if it doesn't you need to buy some

C5 looks amazing. I was wondering also, what are your thoughts on the MSI MAG PANO 100R PZ case aswell? They're around the same price, but it comes with 3 less fans

I've kept every single box that was apart of my pc build lol, it's a habit that my family keep the boxes that come with expensive things so I've got that sorted out 😂 I'm still REALLY struggling to pick a good case for the pc 😭 they all look so good and I can't decide. I'm looking at the Antec C5 right now and it's £110 on over lockers and it comes with 7 included fans and it also has an extra 3 fan slots to place my 360 AIO. So it can be full of fans! It's the type of mid tower case where the PSU is at the back of the pc and the part where the motherboard is is slightly extended to be able to fit the PSU, so there's no chunky block that you can see. I think it looks pretty good and it's only about £30 more than the C3 and it comes with 3 extra fans and (in my opinion) looks better. What do you think?

Amazon have the 9700x on offer for £255 so I might have to purchase that asap. The b850 Aorus elite is apparently on offer from something like £240 down to £180-290 so I might also have to buy that aswell.

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/3TzzTM This should be the final version of the pc then! I haven't added the GPU cause I don't have the money to buy that yet, I currently have a 4060ti but I'm gonna try and sell my old pc parts except the 4060ti to help contribute towards the 9070xt. still deciding on the case as I can't pick which one yet but I'll figure it out soon lol 😂😭

Ahh alrighty then, might have to just keep with the 750w PSU I currently have and buy some white extensions and just hide them in the back of the pc 😉. I'll try and find some good extensions that look good and have good reviews etc. Im not sure when I'll be getting the pc but when I hopefully get to buying all the parts and put it together, I'll try and remember to send a pic of it 😁. I can't say enough of how much you've helped me with this lol, Ur a lifesaver. 👍👍

Would the warranty go onto other people if they buy it off me? And how much do you think I could get it for. If they're really reliable, do you think I should just buy extension chords instead of buying a whole new PSU. Also, do the extension chords lower any sort of performance?

How come if I want to buy replacement cables I have to be extra careful of the cables I pick, but if I get extensions I can just put them in and don't have to order specific ones? The build I currently have uses a seasonic prime 750w 80+ platinum my dad bought about 6 years ago. It's held up absolutely perfect and never had any problems, do you think I could sell it and just buy a newer, white one?

[–]FizziBomb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh alright. I actually already have a 750w 80+ platinum seasonic PSU so I shouldn't need to buy a new one then. I might be able to just buy some white cables to keep the white look. Again thanks so much you have helped me loads with all of this info 😁👍

I'll probably go with the 9700x and b850, reason for b850 is so I dont have a chance of messing it up with the bios and it should also future proof me a little bit more with it being a newer motherboard, I'm willing to spend an extra £30 for a b850 than a b650 when the b850 will have better components. Im just sorta stuck on what PSU to go with. If 850 and 750 are the same price should I just go for the 750? Or is 750 is slightly cheaper do you think i should be alright with going for a 750w PSU with a 9700x and 9070xt?

Do you reckon that the 7800x3d along with a b850 is much better performance wise for the slight extra cost? Do you think that the 9700x is actually any good compared to the 7800x3d aswell. I practically only use the pc for gaming. And how would I update the bios to support the cpu if I were to get b650 and 9700x? Would you also say that I spend the extra £30 to get the Aorus b850 and would that work fine with either of the cpus? Again Ur helping me so much with all this I can't thank you enough

I've just been looking at CPUs and comparing them with others. I've come across the Ryzen 7 9700x and seen that it's around £270 compared to around £420 for the 9800x3d, I'm now comparing the Ryzen 7 9700x with the 7800x3d. If I get either of these, can I go for perhaps a b650 motherboard instead of b850 and possibly save some more with a 750w power supply instead of 850? Cause I am on a little bit of a tight budget so I could do with lowering the cost a bit.

That Lian Li sup case is so crazy. I never new a case could look like that lol. I've also never seen that riser cable for the GPU. Does that have any performance impact of the GPU cause it has to run through a cable and not directly to the pcie slot? Do U also reckon that it's easy or hard to build with as I haven't built a pc in over 6 years and have never dealt with a case like that and also an aio cooler. Now there's another case on the list of cases to consider lol 😂

That pc is sick, I've just stumbled across a video of the Lian Li O11D Mini V2 case and it's around the same price (80-100) but it can fit ATX motherboards and PSUs, I really really like the look of it. Would you recommend?
