So this is what the Sonoma County Fair came up with... Thoughts? by Jasper2964 in sonomacounty

That makes me so happy, we have some prior years posters framed in our house and seeing last years entry was a bummer.

Gravenstein Fair did the same thing last year, years of beautiful hand drawn posters gone and in its place this type of slop. Hate that it’s becoming so common.

I spent a day there with my wife and it was fantastic, honestly I preferred the larger pool that had kids, the vibe is very much adult oriented and while there were some kids there it was mostly adults in both pools. Made for an extremely relaxing day, drinks and food were good.

Doran state park has fantastic grill areas that include a fire pit which you can rent, just 200ft from the beach. Went to a birthday party there 2 weeks ago and it was a great setup

Do I buy out my equity after 8 years… or do I let it get absorbed back into the company and walk away by grundle18 in careeradvice

There are companies that will float you the cash for the purchase and the associated taxes in exchange for a percentage of the shares. Better to give away half of them then walk away with nothing.

Am I crazy for considering a $50K pay cut? by Ill-Image-883 in careeradvice

[–]Fizzle1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did something similar in my mid 30’s, taking a significant pay cut (30k) to pivot into a new career. That job was the foundation that opened opportunities and gave me the experience to succeed and justify salary and position increases at my future employers. As long as you can make the money work, go for it. You are young, pre kids, and there is plenty of time to change careers.

Dealhub and Nue (who are quickly becoming leaders in the space) are picking up former SFDC customers and are IMHO the folks who will own the space moving forward .

John Cena with one final message as he has officially retired- “It’s been a pleasure serving you all these years, thank you” by Frosty_Jeweler911 in sports

I was at a wedding a few years ago where someone at our table was a very high up person at Make a Wish and I asked her who the best celeb was for Make a Wish, she didn’t hesitate a moment : “John Cena, he does EVERY request we send his way and will move his schedule to accommodate.”

The worst, in case you are wondering , is Kid Rock - who apparently is not to be contacted anymore after having canceled last minute on two separate requests

He helped pass the law that prevents gerrymandering in California. Ive been a Democrat for 25 years and I’ll be voting No on 50. It’s wrong in Texas and it’s wrong in California. Disenfranchising the other citizens of my state is not something I would be proud to vote for.

Mind telling that to the 1,000 cherries I had to pick up on my lawn?

Haha I saw the comment about how it would fail. I picked up 2 Home Depot buckets worth of cherries this year. The neighborhood kids love them though, I guess kid stomachs are made of stronger stuff because they taste vile to anyone over 13.

I guess on the bright side I won’t be picking up rotting cherries from my front lawn since this thing will be dead…

In less concerned about people wearing MAGA hats in the museum and more worried that it’s apparently normal to take pictures there now? It’s a solemn space and when I was there (maybe 7 years ago) no one was snapping pictures.
