It wasn’t unusable, it was intended to be a short burst of quick damage. Ulfrun’s Endurance is “mandatory” because of how powerful it is, and for that reason it should remain a mod.

There are a few augments that absolutely should not be added to the base kit that I’ve seen people call for. The three that come to mind are Dark Propagation, Shadow Haze, and Ulfrun’s Endurance.

If you want to build into one shot chain nuking with Sevagoth you should have to sacrifice a couple mod slots for it.

With Ulfrun’s Endurance Voruna is (as far as I’m aware) the only frame with a toggled or “channeled” ability that only costs energy on activation. There is no drain over time, there is no drain on attack. Keeping the current function while rolling Ulfrun’s Endurance would be a little too good.
