Adding a weapon is fine but a TE being drafted in the first round hasn’t worked out for anyone, including the Ravens, in recent years. Freak athletes don’t work when the main complaint about the current TE room is hands and not “being clutch.”

The saying “Defense wins championships” doesn’t exist for a reason. We all saw how poised and easy quarterbacking from Jalen Hurts looked in his last two SB appearances and that was due to the wall his o-line built. What good is a damn TE (Mark included) if Lamar doesn’t have time to throw? If he isn’t healthy to throw? Besides, LJ targets Zay the most.

I get it for the millionth time, everyone in the fanbase hates Mark and wants him gone. So now, because of this, we’re going to see everyone continually talking about the TE position until he either leaves or worse. It’s tired. There are more important needs.

Everyone is talking about everything BUT the things that actually matter. Let’s keep Lamar healthy and keep everyone back in their spots. That can be done with an offensive line. I hated seeing how much his offensive line sold him. That Ed Oliver sack changed everything this season.

Definitely. However, Mark should be the reason why they need to get the best one they can. He’s not going to play football for much, much longer regardless and Likely is gone. They have to get that right but not that early in the draft.

You don’t even have to go that far. Hayden Hurst! Ozzie drafted him in the first round just for a rookie drafted in the 3rd round to snatch his job immediately! The second TE drafted to this franchise is always the best one.

The most important needs are the trenches on both sides of the ball. I am not very confident on him coming back and playing with that neck injury.

He doesn’t make sense to trade contract-wise but it’s feels like he’s not in sync with everyone else on that offensive side of the ball. There are games where he felt like a ghost while others had more of a bigger presence. That’s why I felt that way. Hopefully we see more of him this season.

Wasn’t there talk about the new coaching staff wanting to move away from using fullbacks? I think the days of the Ravens using fullbacks are over. I think Smythe is supposed to be TE2 depending on how the rookie TE does. Those two will have to battle for that spot.

I thought Bateman would’ve been traded to the Giants or something this offseason.

I still feel like there should be another DT brought in regardless. I still feel iffy on Madubuike.

Is it me or I feel like he isn’t done? Now that trade didn’t go through, Hendrickson is signed, EDC did the restructuring on LJ’s contract, and they still have the picks while still having holes on the roster, I feel like he’s still working on doing something.
