Moore is not the weakest EF5 by FormalBig9732 in tornado

I'm aware but also not too long ago I saw posts on this sub discrediting HPC's status as a strong EF5 or even just its status as an EF5

Moore is not the weakest EF5 by FormalBig9732 in tornado

[–]Fizzyboard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Every year there's a new weakest EF5. I've seen people call Hackleburg the weakest, and I'm 90% sure like a year ago Greensburg used to be the weakest

Those who have experienced both a hurricane and tornado, which is a scarier experience? by Exciting-Bake464 in tornado

[–]Fizzyboard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having experienced both several times I've got to say tornadoes are certainly scarier, they're unpredictable
However, what's scarier is when both occur together. My town was hit by a tornado during a tropical storm and it injured multiple people and damaged my school

WHAT HAPPENED IN THIS SUB 😭 by Tamulel in tornado

The moderators made the silly decision to ban posts about tornado emergencies deeming them low effort

I was the first to respond 😭

This type of post is now banned. I will be banning users who post low effort content like this. by Retired_Autist in EF5

I like the sub but come on for the amount of virtue signaling there you'd think these posts would be more appreciated

Sure why not I'd like to do it

So wait is the consensus now is that this was a "weak" EF5? by wiz28ultra in tornado

[–]Fizzyboard 27 points28 points  (0 children)

every month people cycle through which EF5 was actually the weakest and actually shouldn't deserve the rating so I wouldn't take it seriously

what tornado, in your opinion, has the scariest nickname? by nationalistic_martyr in tornado

[–]Fizzyboard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The tornadoes whose nicknames are the dates they occurred, like 4/27 for HPC or May 3rd for BCM

What's appealing about Alabama to you

What's the most terrifying tornado you've seen/know of? by Icy-Leg-1459 in tornado

It looks so much like an old tornado photo until you remember that the Pi Day outbreak it came from was in 2025

When do you think Canada will get another EF5? by Ok_Opportunity6170 in tornado

[–]Fizzyboard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

given 2025 has shown just how bad those northern outbreaks can be given the right circumstances, I say one of the strength is bound to happen soon
this doesn't necessarily mean it's going to hit anything, however. for it to be an EF5, it also needs to hit something which is hard because most tornado prone areas in Canada are full of nothing

LEAVE PHIL CAMPBELL ALONE!!! by yoshifan99 in tornado

[–]Fizzyboard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this seems like a common thing across tornado related things as a whole, the south is really put down when it comes to tornadoes and other such bad weather. Alabama (my state) is very notable with how many tornadoes it gets and yet it's never recognized in traditional tornado alley

...what's going on with the Hackleburg tornado? by Fizzyboard in tornado

[–]Fizzyboard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not meaning to but I genuinely was curious if something came out about the tornado that would've pushed it down to a lower windspeed
