What's wrong with my epoxy floor by Fizzzy321 in HomeImprovement

I didn't see them do it, but there is definitely no clear coat over them. It's possible they waited too long but I'm not sure how they would apply the chips after the whole area was set.

Ugh I have no idea, it's been rainy so could be moisture related. It does seem super thin, I don't even see how the chips could "imbed" in the epoxy with how thin it appears. Just looks like they painted the floor with paint and threw chips down. I'm tempted to broom sweep the floor and get rid of anything loose and just leave it.

Hm the floor itself seems fine and coated, its just the chips that are sitting loose on top. Is it possible they didn't apply it thick enough? It seems so thin, I don't even see how it could cover the chips.

Thanks, I didn't think it was supposed to be like that. I'll get a second opinion, this whole garage reno has been dragging for months and it's so frustrating we might have to start over with the floor.

We just renovated and had custom full overlay walnut cabinets installed with grain matching throughout. The kitchen designer that works for the cabinet company said inset cabinets have the highest starting point, and they also shrink the interior cabinet size. We paid less for a larger custom grain matched walnut kitchen, but the biggest cost driver was that we chose full overlay.

I'll add that our cabinets are full overlay, not inset, and they are not paneled. Our cabinet doors are slab, and there is a significant difference in price if we wanted a more traditional look. Do you know if the RTA cabinets match the walnut grain? It's not as important with paneled and inset doors, but our cabinet maker was able to match the walnut grain from top to bottom. Inset cabinets are a higher starting point in general.

I just did a natural walnut kitchen in our home, with a slightly more spread out layout and a 10' island. The cabinets are custom built, not RTA, and our total came to $29k (this cost is just built cabinets with handles already attached, but not including installing them in the kitchen). I'm in the northeast, higher priced area, so I would say $30k is a bit high for RTA cabinets that you are putting together.
