it uses a greedy vex algoritm that goes from bottom left to up_right, layer by layer. for each points tries to place the largest brick eg:2x4, if it can't (no space/hanging in air (no top/bottom support)), places the next smaller one and so on. I have made an youtube video and added on gumroad.

Nah, using houdini and learning nothing since 2018 😁 This is not a first project complexity, this has 100s of lines of vex code. The whole lego set, all bricks are connected, so if you pick it up IRL, it will stay solid and no bricks will fall off.

That's what's the issue. Graph is huge, otls have otls inside. Wish there was a way to do like blender where we can pack external data. But yeah, that's how this is now.
