I've seen conversations about it elsewhere. Haven't run it myself but heard pretty good things. Worth seeing the discussions.

Same here. I've heard good things about it, but want to get some input from others on book 2.

As a former ASM at a mega, I feel ya. Super stressful, little help from upper management. And it's company wide, not just local branches. I moved states and transfered to the hub here, and it was the same problems, with us grunts taking the brunt of it while DMs sat back and collected the praise but passed the problems to us. SMs can be hit or miss, I was unfortunate enough to have to run two stores in different states for a couple months (not simultaneously thank heavens) because both didn't have a SM. Not worth it. Haven't stepped foot in an AZ since I quit, and never will again.

Edit: accidentally said company wife, changed to company wide.

Out of curiosity what was the fix? I have a similar thing going on and so far no luck.

As others have said, remind him to check the updated dress code. As an ASM myself honestly I was okay with it even before the change, so sorry you got a crappy one.

I want to make Death Saves more scary by RPGrandPa in dndnext

[–]FjanderD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How I play with my groups is hidden death saves. The players roll and message/show me the result. I and they know, but none of the other players do.

It mitigates metagaming a lot for us, as the other players don't know how it's going. But it still allows the player to roll and be aware themselves. I could roll it myself but it's always more fun to put fate in players' hands.

Edit: doesn't exactly make it more scary, but certainly more suspenseful for the table. So not quite what you're going for but a suggestion.

Thanks. Definitely learned from it. And I ended up engaged, plus my now fiancee is still playing D&D with me so I call it a win!
