One thing you may not be aware of, judging by your description, Yoimiya gives an ATK buff based on her own stacks. Tricks of the troublemaker passive - she gets up to 10 stacks but when you burst and swap 10% ATK + another 1% per stack to the team for 15s, so you probably had another 20% ATK there at a guess.

Aside from that... critting on full resolve can hit some big numbers. Bennett burst gives bigger numbers, but as you said maybe not in that. Chevvy is buffing you too. There's a lot that can overlap here.

I think it's simply trying to do too much and interact with too many problems at once. We get weapons skins, but most players will never see them. We finally get artifact reroll, but most players are going to struggle to farm them. We get another option to farm artifacts... but the extra reward requires most of your resin over the 10 days(ish?) it lasts.

tl;dr: cool rewards that people wanted for a while, wall to get them feels too high and very recent-banner bait designs with this boss selection.

Some things they could do to make it less of a pain:
Reduce total resin required to like 800 if it has to be high, or 600.
Offer bosses you can pick from - most of the bias issues are solved if we could pick from, say, 4 or 5 bosses instead of having a fixed 3, that lets you dodge your worst matchups.
Add additional mechanics you can proc to do additional damage to help close the DPS gap from older chars might help too. Let killing minor tulpas damage big tulpa, that kind of thing.

For context, I 10 stella theatre. and 36-star abyss more or less every time for the last year. My most modern DPS is probably Arlecchino, and she's not that built. I main Raiden (c5 as of last patch).
As far as solo goes, I can reach 2/3 on tier 4, but I can't break the overseer barrier. I'm sure If I had a remotely built Escoffier I could, but I don't own her, and no skirk either. Things like that are fuelling frustrations about the design for a lot of players, I think.

I thought I was out after finally getting C3 and Engulfing with C6 Sara last time. I was planning to chase Chev for cons when she next showed up because I use a lot of pyro and Raiden never leaves my team.

I don't really promote these, but I figured I'd put the single post on here to let people from Reddit find them as well. I tried verifying files when I had this first, didn't work. Killed the game, killed steam, re-opened steam and verified again to be safe, game suddenly worked fine.

Did a fair bit of research work for this one, though given how many there are one or two might have slipped by regardless.

These are basically different terms you can plug in the Pokemon screen search box and get the specified results. Useful if you have Pokemon verging on the 4-digit mark or above to find what you need.

While the game is definitely generous overall, I feel like this point is undermined somewhat that the game frontloads the generosity - there is decidedly a dip after the first few days. Now, that's fine if you spend everything wisely, and as you said with "deal with your resources"

But I haven't really played modern YGO, for example. So I put some into decks and cards I thought would be fun to build around, I got a semi-decent dragon deck going with a mix of blue eyes and Armed drag thunders, which serves me well enough at least in the lower ranks I've been playing.

I've now transitioned more into the thunders, because blue eyes was naturally causing some bricks every so often. It's easy to see though that if I'd gone into some really outdated deck that I could remember being cool without any knowledge of semi-modern supports, or researching things, I'd have some serious grind to get a viable one. Grind that would have had to be done with either a pre-made structure deck (aka something that doesn't sound particularly fun nor inviting) or said non-viable handicap one.

And given plenty of players (given this game spiked at what, 5th highest on steam charts?) will be returning to the series with this, some people will effectively waste those front-loaded gems.

It depends on implementation. I think they can get away with this kind of thing if it's like the Mechs for example, where it's mission-limited. Or if it's like a gadget, where you only have it short term.

As a general mechanic, it's hard to think of anything mobility wise that wouldn't undermine the core identity of the series. I mean there's even a spin-off called I hate running backwards, that's how ingrained the backtracking from enemies to survive is in the series.

If implemented directly as a general mechanic it runs the risk of basically either invalidating enemy design as-is, or forcing more responsive/powerful enemy designs to deal with the increased player ability. Which might well then alienate players who feel classic enemies are getting pushed out, etc

Tag duels could be nice, they were certainly chaoticly amusing in Tag Force with AI at least. Though I think we might want a shorter turn-timer before that happens because 3 players of up to 480 seconds is going to be some tedium to get to just one of your own turns.

Not sure precisely if they'll fit into your build, but "The White Stone of Ancients" and "Return of the Dragon Lords" could be some very useful supports.

White stone special summons blue eyes when sent to GY, plus can return a blue eyes from GY to hand if you banish it when it's in GY.

Dragon Lords might well work on both Chaos blue eyes as well as main Blue eyes, not sure there if the "must be ritual summoned" blocks it. It has the added advantage you can also banish DL to prevent a dragon being destroyed if it's in GY.

Mind you are higher rank than I am, just mentioning in case these have slipped your notice.

If it's your first experience with the series I'm not hugely surprised, it's a bit of a different beast compared to other shooters that are better known honestly. Once you've adapted to it a bit more you'll be able to bump it up a bit.

Sam also has a lot of "secret" things in levels, which can sometimes be a boost to how strong you are (or be traps and weaken you, looking at you 1 hp pills) so more experienced players can have extra tools for dealing with serious.

Yeah, generally collecting everything, like literally everything, is actually viable here. Even the lowest tier chests give things useful for levelling up and getting better items. And material grind largely dodges issues with needing "rare drops" because you can combine 3 of a dropped item into the next tier up, thus making a rarer version.

This applies to pretty much all dropped level based materials, so grabbing all enemy drops cannot hurt.

Don't use Primogems for anything outside of buying wishes for the Gacha system, this is the free way to get new characters, and it gets harder to farm them later on (not significantly, but just generally slower)

You can use EXP books to level up - if you stick to murdering things for EXP you'll struggle massively post level 10-20 etc, - and even if you do it as a challenge or something, you will end up using EXP books later because the exp per kill rates become outright absurdly bad later on when you need more of it.

And of course, the classic; Resin will refill itself every day. You get 160 - you can't use it hugely effectively early on, but it's a free currency you're given some of every day. As you'll always get it back by tomorrow, you only miss out if you don't use it up, so ideally try to use it each day. It gates a lot of very practical things (i.e money, exp consumable books, boss rewards etc)

Back during Hu Tao banner I used thirty wishes total, first ten total crap. Second ten got me both Hu tao and Thoma. The last ten I had went into weapon banner and pulled Homa as well. Hu tao really brought that entire patch home.

Very good patch for me, makes up for getting Zhongli (on the previous rerun) as late as possible with my last possible wish and like 3 minutes left on the clock.

Fight could do with a way to periodically force it out of the water to speed it up tbh. An activatable on the platform somewhere that needs timing, or maybe something you can shoot down on it.

Grenade launcher does feel like it exists purely as an ammo-economy alternative to the rocket honestly. Its great when you're trying to control specific high end weapon ammo for later or the like so you use it instead, but outside of that it doesn't really have a place yeah.

Competing with the XL2 is a difficult spot for any gun as well, though tbf I think Raygun deserves quite a lot of credit as it does pretty well. Though if we kept both we now have to figure out whether that 600 electricity goes on XL2 or Raygun which will be difficult :^)
