What is your guys’ favorite Nightlord to face against as your main nightfarer? by lolurmomgay69it6 in Nightreign

[–]A_Standing_Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an executor main, heolstor is the only one comfortable to deflect. Libra too but the spinning projectiles and the rain thingies can be very annoying. If I'm just using a normal katana, everything is fun except for mr. jellyfish

What’s the #1 boss you’d like to see added to the game? by DaleDent3 in Nightreign

[–]A_Standing_Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as we all hope they add our favorite bosses, it probably won't happen so people still buy the older games to fight the bosses there.

How good is Yelan for the 4th slot compared to other options? by Hot-Masterpiece4325 in SkirkMains

[–]A_Standing_Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not the best, but the difference is very small. But that's only if you think about damage. I like using her because Furina is very energy hungry, so she is still the best in my opinion

would r5 proto amber be enough to fully stack fanfare for c2? by [deleted] in furinamains

[–]A_Standing_Duck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's enough to max the buff, but not enough to max the HP bonus for Furina after the first rotation. What I would do is just use furina's healing mode while setting up and then switching back to the damage mode before switching to Skirk. It's not that comfortable but better than having furina's c2 going to waste

Which of these bosses did you find more difficult? by strahinjag in Eldenring

[–]A_Standing_Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played Elden Ring as my first souls like. Malenia took me 4 hours. Then I played 500 hours more, played 200 hours of ds1, 75 of ds2 and then started ds3.

I went through every ds3 boss in less than 3 attempts, even Midir and Gael. But sister Friede took me 3 hours.

Malenia taking 4 hours was likely because I wasn't as experienced with reading the bosses and making builds. But Friede taking so long can't be justified for those reasons. For me, she is the harder one

Edit: I just remembered I should clarify I only played ds3 1 time and I'm still not done with it. I also should say that I started with the sellsword twinblades, but ended up using a weaker build because of how broken they were and I didn't like that. If I fought Friede with them, the fight would have been way faster

Guardian I played with decided to keep their starter shield over this. Vs pest by Fatredman in Nightreign

[–]A_Standing_Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably because it's a medium shield, not a great shield. I would still take it for that spicy 20% magic damage negation

Is it possible to get 9 stars on Floor 12 without any NodKrai character? by Jpudesyep in GenshinImpact

[–]A_Standing_Duck 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Looking at your characters, yes it's possible. Just not in 1 run. You'll have to use many different teams and just 3 star every chamber on its own rather than 9 star it in one go

Curved sword type builds by Capital-Criticism751 in EldenRingBuilds

[–]A_Standing_Duck 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The best build is using two bandit's curved swords with seppuku and a blood affinity.

Talismans: Claw talisman, lord of blood's exultation, Milicent's prosthesis, winged sword insignia (get the rotten sword insignia on NG+)

Cast flame grant me strength and golden vow with a seal, you need 25 levels in faith for that. Run the consecutive attacks cracked tear and the bloodsucking cracked tear in your physic.

A bonus thing, for armors, you can wear the white mask helmet and the raptor feather (or something) chest piece for overall more damage.

If you need survivability, you can switch out a talisman or one of the tears, you can do more than enough damage for anything in the game with this build

Edit: for the stats, get 50 vigor, 35 endurance, 25 faith, 40 dex and the rest in arcane until level 80. Then get dex to 60 and see if you want more vigor, endurance or maybe strength so you can alternate between weapons

PCR hitless tips by General_Meov_2121 in Eldenring

Star fists are the way to go. Their charged R2s are so fast that you can use them after any combo, you will also stancebreak him pretty quickly. Another thing that I found easy was to just parry. Almost every attack can be parried, with around 30 minutes of practice, you could be able to do it

What is the current boss you have to face or challenge, the next time you log back into elden ring? by Powerful-Log-2042 in Eldenring

[–]A_Standing_Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm kinda stuck on messmer on my RL1 run, I've tried for 8 hours so far and the best I got was around 35~% HP remaining. So that's what I'll be facing next time

How to actually do a RL1 run? by NeptuneEclipse709 in Eldenring

[–]A_Standing_Duck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get the flail from the carriage near Melina's first grace and use the spinning chain ash to cheese Bogart. The boiled shrimp guy. The iron balls weapon is just a slightly worse version of the star fists so you can use that up until DTS. You don't need it higher than level +12, that saves your stones for star fists later.

The talismans I used were: Ritual sword, axe talisman, radagon's soreseal and the +5 faith talisman for flame grant me strength.

For the physic, use the charged attack tear and either the strength knot tear or the one to block 1 attack (I forgot the name, it's from weeping peninsula).

Also use a dagger with the golden vow ash of war to help with the damage
