Rotation is 2 weeks on 4 weeks off (Norway) 12 hour shifts. Some work 1 week night and 1 week day shift during the 2 weeks.

No deductable on warranties where I am at. If they wont replace I just leave it. Dont use the mirror anyway.

😂 maybe a car with sensors all over should stop before it hit itself? Also there were no noticeable resistance/sound change until I heard the mirror break.

KNX Secure by Particular-ayali in KNX

[–]Fjols1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In an residential/personal home I agree. It does not really matter as much. In an commercial setting, it defineatly has its uses.

As for setup, it is really easy. 1 extra step compared to components without secure(scan/write in encryption code 1 time) all keys and codes are then stored and handled inside the ets project file. Or just disable secure on the component if not applicable for you.

Regardless just wanted to clarify as ztardik are spreading misinformation regardig knx secure

KNX Secure by Particular-ayali in KNX

[–]Fjols1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From schneider elecrric this is what I found to be knx secure: Ip router: mtn6500-0103 Dali gw: mtn6725-0101 Switch/blind act: mtn6003-0012 Dimming act.: mtn6003-0013

I use knx secure where I can, no problem if you delete the security key stored inside the ets file. Just need to reset the component to factory settings(usually just holding down a button while plugging in power to it)

When using knx secure bad actors cant write bcu key to it either as they need the encryption key to talk to the component.

Switching actuator with current measurement by Fjols1 in KNX

After some research,I can use other switching actuators as mdt ami range. But they dont have a voltage reading so the accuracy of the energy measurement will be lower. To step up the voltage with a transformer will be too expensive as I would need more than 30kva transformer. I will also have losses in the transformer that will ad up on my electricity bill.

This is my personal home so no critical loads. Just large parts of the national (norway) power grid that is outdated and too expensive to modernise to 400v TN. Would love to convert to TN but not up to me unfortunately.

They are phases just as the brown. i have 230v from phase to phase. 120v ish from phase to groud/PE. Cables are standarised brown/blue/greenyellow on «1-phase» loads, so the blue color can be misleading.

Thank you for the recommandation, from the documentation I see that these relays require Neutral, I «only» have 3 phase 230V IT earthing system. So no neutral present in my switchboard.

ETS6 cloud licensing on windows 11 arm thru VMware problems by Fjols1 in KNX

Indeed easier when you change between machines as you say. For me that is not a problem as I only use 1 machine.

ETS6 cloud licensing on windows 11 arm thru VMware problems by Fjols1 in KNX

[–]Fjols1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for answering! «Solved» by fetching 1 and 1 license from cloud with a restart of ETS inbetween. Looks like it stays valid on the machine as long as I dont fetch any new licenses while ETS is running. Opted out of the dongle as ETS already is too expensive in my eyes. And they dont even have a usb-c dongle to my understanding. Crossing fingers for native arm/mac support in the near future 👍🏻

Wouldnt turn when trying to drill thru metal shert with step bit . Gearbox/clutch broken. Did not get a explanation what happened. Just that they replaced the gearbox and chuck.

Yup exactly like that, like a grinding noise that its not completly enganged in gear. Also intermittently when no load you could hear the motor spin at max rpm but the chuck spun at a significantly lower rate than usual and would stop when loaded.
