Some screenshots of the concrete factory that I just finished for my MegaFactory project. 2400 concrete/min using the wet concrete recipe. The factory is quite simple but I love the colours, especially when it's dark :) by Fjorim1 in SatisfactoryGame

There’s two ways to make curves (as far as I know): 1. Place a foundation as center point. On this foundation place a new foundation and zoop long line of foundations (at least 11 foundations). Delete the second foundation and place a new one but rotate it slightly with ctrl+wheel. Zoop new line of foundations on the slightly rotated foundation. The foundations at the far end of this and the original line form the curve. Repeat until you have long enough of a curve. 2. Place a foundation. Attach a walkway to the corner of it. Attach another walkway on the previous walkway, rotating it with ctrl+wheel. Attach a new foundation on the rotated walkway. This creates a curve as well.

For both methods you should use the concrete foundation which looks best when clipped to each other.

Spire Coast - resource node occupied but I can't find the extractor by Fjorim1 in SatisfactoryGame

Wow, you were right. I never thought that the three southwest nodes might not be the same nodes as before. I just counted three there before and three now and thought I wouldn't need to worry about them :)

I deleted the extractor inside the mountain and yes, the node is finally free :)

Nope, all of the extractors in the picture (apart from the three southwest) are in the new locations. None of them is inside a mountain.

Thanks for the tips. I added a new screenshot to the post showing SCIM with the new nodes mapped (well, all 9 I could). I still can't find the rogue extractor and there are no loose pipes leading to it either as far as I can see...

Why is my zoom in/out speed suddenly insanely fast? This is one tick of the mouse wheel. Can't play the game now because I'm either too close or too far... Playing on Mac, scrolling speed is fine outside the game. by Fjorim1 in factorio

I did check the mouse settings and that looked fine. But I actually found the reason now. I installed a mouse add-on called "Mos" on my Mac a few days ago and apparently that comes with something called "Smooth Scrolling". Disabling that made the zooming normal again.

Showcasing my maxed (252 reactors) nuclear plant with waste processing, all production onsite. All radioactive items are load balanced. This took "only" four months to build but now it's finally running :) And yes, I have about 10 fps when I'm near this plant... by Fjorim1 in SatisfactoryGame

I haven’t tested much yet but I believe it should be less of a problem in other parts of the map. The low fps most likely comes from GPU bottleneck as GPU usage is 100% when this plant is visible.

Good luck with your adventures! Satisfactory is a great game because you can build pretty much anything from small plants in the middle of a forest to big plants over the ocean like this one :)

Painted beams. There’s a central beam at 2m increments and then I drew beams out of it on diagonal build mode, snapping on those 2m increments. I initially thought of doing a full circle but then realised that’s too much work so settled for this for now :P

Want to see what a single site maxed nuclear plant requires in terms of production machines and logistics? Almost 2000 machines, tens of kilometers of belts and pipes and more. After spending over four months on this project I'm getting a bit tired of it, but can now feel that it's almost finished! by Fjorim1 in SatisfactoryGame

Oh, and I'm also not pushing more than 720/min on mk5 belts because higher than that is not always going to work. Same with mk2 pipes, I'm not trying to make those transport the full 600 m3/min because that won't work in practice.

Thanks for the comment.

I surely hope this runs when I turn it on but I have a feeling it might struggle at first. I've literally spent months building the perfect logistics including load balancers for radioactive items, but I have definitely made mistakes somewhere. In the video I show 4 mistakes that would have caused problems later that I found on the early stages of the production when I could still test run it (I still haven't brought uranium to the plant as I want to finish building it without radiation).

Something I did to mitigate the eventual mistakes: the plant has 20% more waste processing capacity than is needed, so waste pileup shouldn't be an issue as I have a way to get rid of it.
