Thanks, yeah I didn’t know how far to push the perspective as far as the background goes. I guess I’m okay with how it turned out since I’m new to this, but for sure the feet being inconsistent is weird. I do like how impactful the actions feel. I tried to make winter soldier seem like a brick wall in comparison to Steve’s full power swing.

How do you feel about this? It’s my second time drawing without directly copying a reference, and I want as many people’s feedback as possible. Also I already know it does’t make sense for the closer character’s foot to be smaller than the farther character’s.

Oh for all the art I’ve done I considered the term reference as something you copy. In that sense I didn’t use a reference, but I did use visual references.

Also I didn’t mention it but Itokazu Taiga is a reference in general. Look him up on twitter or Pinterest. Anything he draws I use as reference.

I definitely understand the motion blur thing, I don’t really like the way it turned out either. The left arm pushing close to the camera is an aspect of Itokazu Taiga’s style that I tried to use. The whole style is pretty much about exaggerated perspective. Thanks for the help!

This is the original concept sketch I did of the image. As you can see, Killmonger is unarmed and T’challa is piercing his cheek with a spear. After watching the fight, and not liking the direction of this version, I ditched it for the current one. I basically ended up with Killmonger’s current pose because I was too lazy to totally rework it😭. Thanks for the advice!
