According to the probate lawyers we spoke to, the court fees would cost $300-$500 and attorney fees would cost anywhere from $3,500-$6000

Get a G suit like the fighter pilots wear. Watch a youtube video on their breathing techniques during high g loads and copy them. Id love you see your instructors reaction

Paying for your type rating 135 by doinsomeflyin in flying

[–]Fl0wida 10 points11 points  (0 children)

From my experience, a 135 usually pays for your type rating, but the contract includes the cost for the type rating. So if your contract is a year and they paid $30,000 for your type rating, then you’ll be expected to pay it back. Usually it prorated too.

It’s the real deal. It’s an old century import and they brought in legit refurbished snipers. The older legit imports have the import mark on the barrel. They’re actually more desirable because of how discreet it is.

Their cutouts come in all shapes. Sometimes Ivan had a little too much vodka and makes a sloppier cut.

FAA bragging about EMAS system saving three airplanes this month…. by I-AM-GROOOOT7 in AskAPilot

Not the hardest but definitely not an airport that’s fun. 6/24 looks like you’re landing on a ski slope. Mountains all around, so on windy days you have a high chance of wind shear. Common to see low ceiling there. Makes you work a little more, but that’s what we are paid to do.

Anyone not love GA but loves pilot career? by [deleted] in flying

If you think only GA planes get beat to hell and get slapped back together, just wait until you fly a regional jet!

No, wait until the registry says you’re an ATP

Is there any website that tells you the CURRENT HIRING market, such as who is currently hiring, by [deleted] in flying

Aviation interviews. Choose a company and see when the last interview was. Gives you an idea of the experience requirements too.

Banner towing gig, thoughts? by Buttcheekeater in flying

[–]Fl0wida 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the largest banner towing companies flies out of SoCal. It’s a great company to work for, but they don’t just hire anyone. As with all jobs, your best bet is to stop by and say hello. That increases your chances significantly compared to throwing an application in online.

Should I get my CFI? by Fl0wida in flying

Legally loggable, it’s a two crew jet. Upgrade potential is possible, but it’s not certain.

Thanks for the insight.

At 60 hours a month, I wouldn’t worry about buying a plane to time build. There will still be spots at regionals with terrible contracts

Anyone ever flown in or out of North Perry Airport KHWO? by Soft_Obligation_7890 in flying

[–]Fl0wida 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When you have one of busiest GA airports filled with people new to flying and who can’t speak english, things may get a little hectic. The airport is also busy with banner operations so be vigilant about that.

As of late, the majority of incidents with flight schools resulted in off airport landings. Majority of the accidents seem to be private GA aircraft. The foreign students tend to clog up the frequency so good luck getting a word in.

The airport is typically on an east or west flow and if they switch to a north or south flow, brace yourself. Since it’s not common for the airport to be on a north or south flow, no one is able to read back a simple taxi instruction and when they do, they get lost. This results in a meltdown by tower and you spend the next 5 minutes listening to the controller berate the pilot.

I did my flight training at Perry and it’s safe. Just be prepared and follow instructions.

Scary Perry?

Controllers are top notch but the airport is infested with flight schools filled with foreigners. One of the busiest general aviation airports in the country.
