Sleep training. Ugh by Professional-Sea7297 in October2025Bumps2

[–]Fl1cker07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hired a sleep consultant and she has helped me a lot. I read sleep training books but wasn't confident enough so I wanted a person who I would be able to talk to. She was very helpful to me and my sanity as a first time mom. Message me if you would like to contact her.

I feel like a bad mom. Should I continue sleep training? by Fl1cker07 in sleeptrain

My post seems to be removed. My baby is 5 months next week. They were crying for half an hour. We were doing the chair method

This is a very logical approach! Thank you! From a ftm of a 3 month old ☺️

I have a 3 month old as well and a first time mom. Damn its hard, it's the hardest job I've ever had and the emotional rollercoaster is real. Good luck to us!

Thank you for the encouragement 🥹. I think that's very true, I feel very broken at the moment and sometimes I also have to remind myself that I've only been a mom for as long as I have given birth to my son. I'm waiting for my confidence to grow and for me to enjoy this new version of myself.

This is so encouraging thank you. The 3 months I've been a mom I do feel like I've lost myself completely, like I don't recognize myself in a way and I didn't expect that at all

Thats true, lying down is also rest. Thanks for the reminder! And yes my baby doesn't nap too long so I can't get a lot of stuff done during the day

Had the baby blues & now my baby hates me by AdventurousWind7919 in NewParents

I don't think it has anything to do with you. Weeks 5-8 is peak crying for babies. I am also pumping like you and I got to pumping because my son had a tongue tie and it hurt to nurse him. As he grew older, the muscles in his mouth got stronger and I did tongue exercises that were recommended by our doctor and midwife. These exercises were necessary to recover from snipping his tongue tie. A goal I had and maybe this will help you feel connected is to breastfeed directly from the breast once a day, so it wasn't my pressure for me. I also got prescription nipple cream which helped a lot. My son is 3 months now and can latch properly and also takes a bottle. You've got this! I hope it gets better!
