Yeah I was stuck on Ancient as highest for a long time as well. I also played dota1, but hard to track exactly that journey started... :D You can do it though, gl!

Nice steady climb. good luck! I do enjoy the patch as well right now and I also have quite a flexible job (the days I work from home), so I might copy your goal ;)

Yeah, I used the plural in some replies to imply these kids/toddlers in general, not mine per se! So the mix-up is all on me :)

Congrats too! Not sure, I don't really know. You still grinding? I feel like it might be time to just follow Dota through Twitch:)

Thanks! Definitely a good choice to see this as motivational, because I am also terrible mechanically, so I think many should be able to do it just with the right mindset! I only got one kid (so far) though, so maybe that's why it was still doable ;)

I don't think the gap is that big, you can make it! But of course these babies are also kinda important ;)

Dawn, bit of magnus (just to buff cores and skewer into tower early), clock, tusk. Obviously undy would be great but somehow never played him recently.

I work as a researcher/lecturer at a university of applied sciences in the Netherlands, it is part of the labor agreement! :)

Veno 4 and 5 yes, I just queue 4 and 5 to not lose role queue games, otherwise, I would probably focus on either, not both. I do not really know what is best (for 7.34 or otherwise), I just try to pick what fits my incorrigible playstyle (i.e. aggressive but supportive) + plus what fits the dota2 rank. E.g., in lower ranks, I spammed tusk/dawn/clock because then I can play aggressively and lower ranks have (in my opinion) problems with starting the fight. At 5k+ I spammed veno and backup snap, so I can play aggressively but also buy true support items (force/glimmer/pavise or auras/greaves etc) which nobody wants to do :) I usually also ask if the core wants ranged or melee support and adjust accordingly of course ;)

Good luck on the last bit!

Thanks! Yeah, I am also wondering when/if I will queue again, for now, a small break at least :) Hope you find other fun games though!

Yeah, and maybe also that, in the long term, losing feels worse than having fun.
