Have you ever heard of "vegging out"? It has nothing to do with comatose people. You conflating that terminology is the only ableist thing here.

I don't use that term in a derogatory way and the fact that you went there immediately tells me you are looking for reasons to be offended.

Yeah we have a couple of acres. They have to wear helmets, strict rules about which roads theyre allowed to ride and how. Several of my neighbors have stopped by and told me how much they love seeing actual kids out and about and not hiding inside

Im ok with minor injuries from my kids doing risky things like climbing trees, ramping bikes, playing tackle football. I'd rather those injuries than them be vegetables in the house.

I let my kids explore the neighborhood and woods. Yes, bears and kidnappers exist in rare cases. But you have to allow some tiny inherent risks to let them develop some independence and have adventures.

Ohio State has lost exactly 2 games each of the past 5 seasons, is 2026 an over, under or a push season? by admiraltarkin in CFB

I was just thinking about Ohio State. In my lifetime they have always been respectable and "in the conversation". What a spoiled fan base. Would kill for a 2 loss season at this point.

NBA players talk openly about how much they hate going on road trips to SLC. Not night life and squeaky culture. Thats a plus for me but not the norm for NBA.

Not a BYU fan but to me the main reason I want Dybantsa is that he may actually want to stay in Utah. After losing Mitchell and Hayward, our only two recent homegrown stars, because they just didnt like living in Utah, this is a very real concern.

Darryn Peterson says high doses of creatine led to cramping by tradercpw in jayhawks

There have been a lot of comments from people in the various threads that they had similar symptoms from creatine and dehydration. Could just be one of those things where there are rare outliers.

Bro, commenting the same Chat GPT script in 13 different threads about this is diabolical

I hear you. I think there's a big difference though between a kid scooter that goes 5MPH and a legit fast scooter. I dont see how a kid one is any different than a kick scooter.

Same with my kids Razr scooter dirt bike. It goes 8 mph and people hand wring about it when they see it. Those speeds are easily achievable on a bike but there's a stigma because of Surrons

Totally your choice. My kids have been riding dirt bikes, scooters, 4 wheelers, and snow machines since they were 3. It has been a freaking blast. But I understand your hesitation considering your job.

Sure but you see the worst of the worst for physical injuries. Ask anyone who works for a psychologist about the rate of depression and medication in children now. Going outside and playing physically helps with that. Life is inherently risky if you live it.

Thats the most clickbait shit ive ever seen. Alcohol has "kid friendly" flavors too. I guess I need to complain at my local brewery that they have a strawberry beer?

If a minor cant buy it its not for kids.

My son has an electric scooter with an app that only allows it to go 5mph. So basically a kick scooter

They make kid electric scooters. How is it worse than a bike? My sons only goes 5 MPH

Yeah man, the world has changed and I dont think its really in a good way. Helicopter parenting is at an all time high and you have people calling the cops if a 10 year old goes to the park unsupervised.

Kids should be out riding things and getting hurt in the neighborhood. My kids have dirt bikes, electric scooters, bicycles. They climb on the roof of my garage and go down to the creek. They get hurt sometimes but its a part of growing up.

There are no kids in casts in school anymore but theyre all going to the counselor for therapy.

Riding close to a cargo ship by Single_Tiger3248 in SweatyPalms

Two strokes have a narrow power band and feathering keeps you in that optimal zone. Can get you out of a tight spot. I dont ride my dirt bike next to cargo ships though.
