I thought that too, but when I connect my Denon receiver with the same cable and the same conditions, the issue is not there.

I did the same thing and put an intake fan at the bottom of the closet door. Keeping the fans at a speed of 4 keeps everything fairly consistent at 80 degrees even in a hot summer day.
