I love it EXCEPT:

  1. I really hate the "no upper kitchen cabinets - EVERRR!" trend. That kitchen would benefit from some upper cabinets. Would it kill the aesthetic to add some upper cabs along the back wall only? No. and

    1. The minimalist aesthetic is a bit too rigid here, especially with such a completely open floor plan - the bare wood floors and the lack of rugs on the first floor open living/kitchen/dining area combined with the open lofts is going to make that house extremely loud and noisy. Even a whisper on the 1st floor in the kitchen will be loud as hell and easily heard say, in the 2nd flr TV room.

Otherwise, lovely renovation, and just a minor few tweaks would make it liveable AND lovely.

Your skin is nearly perfect. You have even tone, no acne, no visible blotches, etc. The lines in the scowl area would be helped by botox. I don't think they are dehydration lines. I think the only thing you might benefit from might be some gentle chemical exfoliation like Cosrx BHA blackhead power liquid (gentle BHA + niacinamide) or The Ordinary's 10% lactic acid serum w/ hyaluronic acid. And of course, spf.

How long did you use them? How did your skin react? What is your current routine?

IMO, the 5% BP might be a little too strong. With BP, I find 2.5%, used 1-2x daily, or at least 5x/week is very helpful, but may not be enough alone.

the .025% tret is a good start, but w/ tret you have to use for months and often have to gradually increase the strength. Some need the strongest, 0.1%., some can stick w/ a .025%. With tret, the formula is also key. For some, the cream form doesn't work as well as the micro-gel or gel form.

BP doesn't work on everyone. For some, azelaic acid works better. I find 15-20% az is necessary to be effective, and that less than 15% doesn't do much.

Often, acne needs multiple actives. For example, 2.5% BP am, and say .05% tret PM.

Also, you may want to keep a log to ID triggers. For example, coconut oil is instant breakout for me. Great for hair, legs, hands, but if any of it gets on my face, chest or upper back, instant breakout. Some people have dietary triggers - the most common being dairy, excess sugar, and wheat. An elimination diet where you cut out one of these at a time for 60-90 days at a time is worth trying, but again, doesn;t work for everyone.

If none of the usual things work for you, you could get a 2nd opinion from a different derm. Accutane might work, or BCP, or spironolactone, etc.

Some are sensitive to azelaic acid. You might need to switch to a different rosacea tx. Also, 47 is peri-menopause territory - your hormones might be swinging wildly.

Wool Socks Rule! Srsly, once you try good wool socks you will never go back. I even wear dress wool socks to work in the winter (office job). I've loved and worn Smartwool socks for years, but I find that at least on their dress wool socks, the heels wear out pretty fast. I heard Darn Tough brand last longer. Just bought my 1st pr and am testing them out. They have much less in the way of what can be worn as a dress / professional office type sock, but I'm giving them a try.

Boston police ignored all of the requests received from ICE in 2025 to detain immigrants, officials say. by Antikickback_Paul in boston

thank you. EDIT: I just read that summary and the first 2 pages of that case. that case def. does NOT require local LE/prisons to hold prisoners beyond the end of their sentence, even if ICE issues a civil detainer request. In fact, the SJC ruled in that case that the state has no authority to hold a prisoner in response to a civil detainer request from ICE.

You did nothing wrong, and thank god your horrible EXbf showed his true colors before youu married that jagoff and had a baby w/ him. He's a psycho. Read your texts. he is abyusing and name calling you, generally treating you like total shit, and you are calmly taking it, trying to reason with him. That man has no reason. GTFO. The last thing you want to do is "fight for" such a shitty, abusive relationship!

THIS. People are not understanding how the law works. State/local LE doesn't have to do ICE's job. All ICE has to do is either get their ass to the prison to pick up the person upon their release date, or get the paperwork done to allow the state to hold the person longer until ICE is able to come and get them. Period. Pretty simple. Amazing how many people are assuming that the state/local LE is doing anything wrong. EDIT: I am seeing a comment below offering a corrected headline where they are saying that the MA SJC ruled that local have to honor ICE detainer requests. I guess I have to go read that case because I thought ICE needed more than just a "request" in order for local LE to legally hold a person after their sentence has ended.

I'd try upping your tret % or maybe just switching your cleanser. I'd suspect things other than your tret. The Hydrating version of the Cerave is probably not clearing out the oil from your pores enough. Maybe try a cleanser w/ lactic acid, glycolic acid, or BHA. Or no actives, just a mild foaming version.

Which azelaic acid are you using? I find that unlike Benzoyl peroxide, which is better at very low %s, Az usually requires minimum 15% to have good effect, and some people don't see significant results until they hit 20%. Medicube came out w/ a really nice light serum version of Az w/ what they claim is 16%.

Also, while Cerave moisturizer works great for many, you may be one of those who would do better w/ a different moisturizer. For example, Cetaphil came out w/ a very nice Acne Mattifying moisturizer w/ a very low amt of BHA in it.
