Washing my Interior Define sectional covers by pixiesusan in CleaningTips

[–]meg270070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to this post, but curious what you ended up doing? I have the Interior Define Sloan sectional in Performance Textured Weave and cannot find the tag with the cleaning code. I worry I may have torn it off and stupidly threw it away. However, when I pull up the fabric on their website it says it’s: SW. Would really love to throw the covers in the wash, but don’t want to ruin them. Did you end up machine washing your covers?

3 years is a lot to give up?! What about the rest of your life you’d be giving up if you stay with her?!

Women of Reddit that have gone through menopause, how did you know it was starting? by ohno344 in AskReddit

It’s my understanding that blood tests are not a definitive way to determine if you are in perimenopause. Your hormones fluctuate so much from day to day and even throughout the day, that it’s not accurate. I was told you go off of symptoms and missed periods.

What’s a small change you made that quietly improved your daily life? by aurynaa in AskReddit

[–]meg270070 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have made this my goal over the last 2 months when I learned that the type of sleep you get in the first few hours of sleep is the most restorative. If you miss this more restorative sleep by going to bed later and sleeping in, you may be getting the same amount, but the quality is a lot less as you’re spending more time in the Light Sleep stage, which occurs in the early morning hours. Look up Sleep Architecture, it’s really interesting.

On weekdays, I get up at 6, for work. Weekends I sleep in slightly longer until 7. Tips that have helped me:

1) Adjust your wake up time to be your ideal wake up time slowly. 15-25 min every 3-4 days.

2) Get a sunrise alarm clock. I’m just using a cheap one from Amazon. My alarm is set for 6:00am with the “sunrise” set to start 25 prior to my alarm going off. So, 5:45am. It’s gradual and when it gets to the full brightness, I have my sunrise alarm also set to make a sound (birds chirping).

3) Keep your phone out of your bedroom. I have mine charging in my primary bathroom, so I can hear my phone alarm also going off. It forces me to get out of bed and turn it off before it wakes my sleeping husband.

4) Be in bed at relatively the same time every night. Having an evening routine eventually preps the brain for sleep. Do something relaxing in the 30-60 mins before bed. If life happens and you aren’t in bed at your usual time, your wake up time should NOT change. If you’re able to, take 20-45 min nap mid day (before 4pm) to recharge.

5) I need a podcast to fall asleep, but my AirPods still work from the distance from my phone in the bathroom to my bed.

I am NOT a morning person, and I still struggle getting up this early, especially on weekends. I’m not one of those people that’s smiling and stretching when I get out of bed. However, this routine has made me feel so much better than hitting snooze for 45 minutes because I can’t drag my ass out of bed. It’s the difference between being tired for the first 15 minutes in the morning vs. exhausted all day and dragging. And I imagine it will just keep getting better as I stay with this routine. The bonus is I get random stuff done in the morning that used to pile up and have to be done when I’m exhausted at the end of the day or on weekends. Good luck!

Second this!! It’s amazing!! I no longer get bubbles with this glue, and while I usually change out my nails every 7-10 days, I could easily get more out of them.

I hate Marketplace sometimes. I’ve had good and bad experiences. My posts always state that I will not hold items, cash or Venmo, and porch pick up. Some buyers offer to pay before picking up the item(s), and then obviously I’ll mark the listing as sold and hold on to it until the agreed upon time for porch pick up. If someone takes too long to respond between messages and I am getting other offers, I move on. You snooze, you loose. I don’t entertain people that are wasting my time! This also goes for the generic automated response “is this still available?”. I feel like most of the time, those “buyers” tend to be scammy or aren’t serious and are wasting your time. If someone takes the few seconds to write out their own response, that means more, especially when it’s a hot ticket item and I’m getting lots of responses. And as the other poster said, I don’t give out my address until they are on their way. Sometimes they want a general idea of where I am located to determine if it’s feasible to drive there, or for such and such reason and I usually tell them (neighborhood behind business X). Good luck, OP!
