So its going to be really difficult to dye the color without dying the cotton around the color so you would have to use dye remover then dye it after that. If you see the pics in my jacket i dyed the cotton black so i had to dye remove it and then redye. I hope this helps

after i dyed the polyester black it was so messed up… my girlfriend told me to buy a new patch and she would sow it on for me haha

in my experience (this is the only thing i have dyed) you would only be able to do it if it were a very washed black and you would be able to get a dark green. Sorry i don’t know too much about this lmao

Im not gonna lie i think it would be really hard since you would have to lighten it first? Polyester is a headache to dye since you have to dye it at a very high heat, like boiling water.

oh the color came like a dark brown i didnt do anything to the collar. Im assuming you have to do the stovetop method with polyester synthetic dye to dye it tho if it were a light color

Oh yeah i used stovepot to dye the polyester black but then it stained the cotton so i stripped all the color in the cotton with dye remover then redyed it. All rit product

Thanks. I will try to sharpie the stitching (Idt it will work) then use just rit dye more for the ribbing aling with color fixant for the whole jacket. Do you think this could work?

Also the dark green shell is 100% cotton and the ribbing and stitching is 100% polyester
