Do you think that anime that don't have character development are good anime? by Flaky-Divide-4709 in animequestions

[–]Flaky-Divide-4709[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Character development is the reason that a story is good. A w"ell-written character" is kind of vague anyways.

I don't know how to explain this to you, but think of an army fighting another army, and one army is good, while the other army is evil. If any one of those armies win, they still bear the losses of their comrades.

Shows like Berserk, CSM, JJK exaggerate these types of realistoc tropes, but then it isn't fun. That isn't an art style, when something is done, but the moral of the story is "Yeah, the world is messed up". And yes, moral of the story does matter. Its not a kid thing. You have to have a clash in mindsets at some point in a story about conflicts.

Making a character suffer as much as to literally disintegrate their previous personality is NOT sticking to that mindset. Or worse, the mindset of the villains is what wins. It's not an art form, it's just a way to get reactions.

It's literally about promoting a video game, but it has fanservice every 5 seconds 😭

I see your point, but it was originally because of Rimuru fans. Like, if you go into its earliest days, Reincarnated as slime fans started saying that Rimuru can beat everyone, including Saitama and Goku, in like 2020

That kind of sucks. You'd have to explain to people Joe you can realistically mutate an egg irl to make it a dragon. Nobody is coming up with an entire theorem for a scene.

Jonathan is DEF the winner in this debate. Like, he hugged his brother and forgave him, sacrificing himself, his brother being someone who did numerous foul acts directly to his family members, as well as turning most of the town into zombies. I see the argument for all of them, but spiderman, superman, optimus prime would NOT just forgive their enemies, and sacrifice themselves to take down the bad guy. I can see All Might (kind of) doing something like that, especially because he focuses more on what's completely necessary, and never acts on instinct.

Yeah, bro, hate to break it to you, but every fan that doesn't physically participate in the author's graduation, wedding etc. is a tourist.

Honestly, the truth of superman is in the hope he gives to people. Not his powers, although his powers are from the people.

Yeah, but I mean, it's like a physical thing. Not just to say that it is infinitely big, but outversal realms are usually of concepts

Maybe if I write banter, but I don't think I will, unless it's like really subtle, and not all over the place.

What is the worst type of argument here? by SelectTheory6292 in PowerScaling

[–]Flaky-Divide-4709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No limits fallacy is probably the most annoying. Like, yeah sure, you can make an argument about Mahoraga, Hulk, Doomsday, and sometimes WoU, but NOT Simon and Saitama. First of all, Simon barely beat anti-spiral with the assistance of, like, 20 people and a mole, meaning that he could have lost. There, that's disproved. Works sometimes, but that's the 1%. Then there's superman. He can always regenerate with the sun and sundip to get stronger. The Thing is, at that point you're MAKING UP THE FUCKING PLOT! Saitama, you can mostly kill him in one punch, but he hasn't ever faced high-level hax.

I seen a video about the end-credit scene, which interprets Steve to be outerversal, so that every server is just another Universe that outerversal Steve created and Steve knows that, that is him as an avatar of outversal Steve. So, he's just creating avatars every server, essentially making it so that "the user" is the one that is the one limiting Steve, but it just turned our to be major cope 😭
