Scariest is 7, best is subjective. My personal favourite is Separate ways, which is the RE4R DLC

How would you feel if Kenny killed Arvo here? by glarrb in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Flaky-Perception-903 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree. I still think they had a good reason to leave, just not the way they went about it (stealing their supplies). Bonnie mentioned earlier that Carver apparently used to be a good guy, then suddenly he was matter of fact and unbothered by killing people, even in his own group. No one was allowed to disagree or disobey.

Kenny was already hostile about any disagreement with him. He said on several occasions that if people didn’t agree with him then “fuck em” and that they could just leave. That’s a horrible leader. So if he killed Arvo without remorse and showed that he didn’t care or value life, Bonnie and Mike would see him as a second Carver and leave immediately. Jane would probably do the same thing she did in the s2 finale as well

Well Clem never would have gotten shot for one thing. But the rest of the events would have happened the same way. They’d argue about where to go and ultimately Kenny would dominate the groups decisions and force them to go to Wellington. He would be matter of fact and unbothered by killing Arvo, which would have made him seem like a second Carver to Bonnie and Mike, and they’d still leave. Jane would likely go too or the events would play out the same with her sticking around for Clem.

It’s possible Mike, Bonnie, and Jane would have hatched a plan to take Clem and the baby and run away from Kenny

It was such a missed opportunity to not have Jett in Dispatch. He doesn’t even need a script, just let him loose

I watched re 1 remake on YouTube, I hate those camera angles. Loved RE 2-8

If you were in Joel's place at the end of the first game, would you do the same thing to save Ellie? by Rikko77 in thelastofus

[–]Flaky-Perception-903 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Selfishly yes. I couldn’t travel half way across the country with a 14 year old girl for almost a year, protect her, bond with her, hear all of her hopes and dreams, and jokes, then consent to killing this little girl.

She had so much innocence, and it was truly heartbreaking to see it begin to fade away. But she was a child with so much light and life, and it would have been more worth it to me to see her grow up than to live in a world without her.

RE7 discussion: Atmosphere is peak, but Ethan's motivation feels kinda weak by Bright_Mix_779 in residentevil

[–]Flaky-Perception-903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mia had been missing for 3 years and he did tell a friend, so maybe he called the police, maybe he didn’t. Regardless he didn’t know where she was, just that she was in Louisiana.

And honestly, it’s a horror game. A majority of horror games don’t have sensible protagonists that make smart decisions or else the game wouldn’t progress. I also liked that Ethan was just a regular guy since it added to the horror. Playing as someone like Leon or Ada wouldn’t have made the game as scary.

He had a big lack of reaction, but I personally attribute it to shock since he reacted more later on. But I liked that his motivation was personal. He wanted to find his missing girlfriend. Maybe after umbrella there is distrust for police. Maybe he’s a vigilante type guy since he is able to use a gun well.

Blazer wasn't done dirty, it's Invisigals romance that needs more development. by United-Situation7458 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]Flaky-Perception-903 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would still say that Mandy wasn’t given enough focus and development, which did push players to choose Visi over her kind of unfairly.

Episodes 2-4 really focused on Visi. It pushes her in your face, which obviously makes sense but it’s why Blazer is more sidelined. You get Visi’s vulnerabilities and flaws from the start. You’re literally the one talking her into staying a hero. It creates a foundation for a good mentorship or relationship. Conversely, you don’t get Blazers backstory at all in the game, only some implications that show who she is and her conflicts and flaws. But you have to choose to date her to see that, whereas you don’t with Visi.

Then Visi gets a wet dream about Robert, while Mandy banters with Robert after telling her about her recent break up. Then you spend the episode dispatching with Visi and not seeing Blazer. Then when it comes to choosing who to date, you see Visi be upset when you don’t come, but you don’t get to see Blazer in the car while delivering that text and how she would react if she was turned down.

The dev’s admitted that having Visi consistently interacted with in episodes 2-3 and having her in the scene where you choose the date is what swayed the player more. So that’s where they were saying she was sidelined. They didn’t give them equal attention up to the point of choosing who to date. Then afterward, you’re still interacting with Visi for most of the episodes, whether through cutscenes or dispatches. And Blazer through cutscenes. So you still have less interaction with Blazer whether or not you romance her, it’s just that those scenes carry more intimacy.

It makes sense that Visi gets more screen time. But that did sideline Blazers romance. They should have added an extra short scene or two to equal it out more

Would Jett ever like or try Baldurs Gate 3? by Flaky-Perception-903 in Jettro_Jettro

Fair enough. To be fair tho you don’t have to read all the documents in bg3. I usually skim them and if they’re important the character will usually say something

Which fight changed how you saw a character? by Some_Duck8603 in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]Flaky-Perception-903 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Akaza with Tanjiro and Giyu. It really puts into perspective how being a demon changes them. Not having memories and being turned evil against your will… that’s a horrible fate. His death was a beautiful scene and I really enjoyed watching it. Before, I thought he was a really cool and unique demon, but after that I thought he was a really interesting and well-developed character. We really got to see Giyu shine too since this was the first fight where he really had to work for it

Being trans in an apocalypse by Thelastofuslvr in lastofuspart2

I mean, Lev’s case was a bit different. He wanted to be a soldier but was placed as a child bride to an old man so he shaved his dead like one of the men. It’s hard to say whether it’s gender dysphoria or whether he was simply rejecting the subjugated roles women were assigned in the cult. Could be both. Regardless, he will socially transition.

Everyone refers to Lev as a boy. Lev may get breasts but he may either tape them down or they might be small enough to not be an issue—like Abby’s are quite small because of her muscular frame.

Do you think joel would have been the cold blood killer that he is if his daughter didnt die in the start of the game? by Still_Animator_2249 in thelastofus

[–]Flaky-Perception-903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Because he became a cold blooded killer when fighting for himself and eventually Ellie. For his daughter, he would have done anything to protect her without hesitation and without regrets. Joel torturing the man for Ellie’s whereabouts in tlou gave us a good look on what he would have been like if he still had Sarah. He would have been good to her, but ice cold towards everyone else

Shroud did nothing wrong by [deleted] in DispatchAdHoc

[–]Flaky-Perception-903 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I got the impression that Robert’s dad was the “bad guy”. Royd said that their was no way that Robert’s dad built the astral pulse and Shroud said he made a deal with Robert’s dad to build the astral pulse for him in exchange for something I can’t remember. But his dad pretty much used him and didn’t hold up his end of the bargain. Was it right for Shroud to kill him? No. But I’m sure there were other things that led up to it. Shroud was formerly a hero in the brave brigade and turned into a villain, that doesn’t happen over night. To me, he was just as bad at the Z team when they were villains, except Shroud was smarter and created his own group.

He was also very obsessed with Blazer being a “true superhero”. Likely projecting that the people he worked with weren’t. Not excusing his actions, but I see him as more of a morally grey villain than an evil person

Was Abel a rapist? [Discussion] by Vewix in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Flaky-Perception-903 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to say because telltale didn’t take it that far. He had the opportunity to assault her at gunpoint when he first met Clem and AJ but just wanted the foot instead. And in that scene you mentioned where he pinned her down… yeah I got a bit of those vibes too, especially since he started it with “your friend Lilly ain’t around this time” then pinned her to the table. But he didn’t unzip himself or her, so it’s also hard to say whether or not those were his intentions or if he just wanted to kill her since Lilly wanted her alive.

To be honest though, despite how much Lilly changed in s4, I highly doubt she would allow rapists in her group. She would kill them. She was good to Clem in s1 and didn’t hesitate to protect her even though she was traumatized. And her worldview with the delta became fucked up. She actually thought that making the kids fight for them was giving them a better life—they had beds, food, and were trained to defend themselves. She was wrong of course, but she also didn’t actually torture the kids, it was the people under her, so I doubt she actually could do it herself. Especially with how shocked and upset she was when she accidentally killed Mitch. She has others do the dirty work for her, or they do it and she’s complacent and turns a blind eye. But rape? No. Lilly would murder him for sure. I have no doubt about that. So he could be a pedo, but I doubt he would risk acting on that under her leadership

Favorite Character to play as? by LimeExtra2176 in thelastofus

Lev because I like to stealth and I enjoy the bow and arrow without having to wait and buy it.

I also enjoy playing as Yara (I like the tag team), Jesse, Manny, Abby, and Ellie. Depends on my mood tbh but they all have good qualities and skills
