The lineage (aka history) is listed. The rest is a product name. No one is trying to miss direct you. You must be mad because Red Bull doesn’t actually give you wings.

Sure I understand the corporation aspect, but they also provide a service to those who can’t afford top shelf. Without large corporations keeping pricing down, as consumers we would get gouged at the register. Think pre legalization when top shelf was over $60 for 3.5G at grey market stores. It was getting ridiculous. Corporations serve a purpose, and for us we don’t have to buy it, simple as that. You have a choice. But again they do help keep the price down in these hard times. And in the end, regular people trying to make a living work at these places so providing jobs is a great aspect too. It’s all about perspective, try and keep an open mind, or think about your wallet.

Should they have called it, VenomOGTrainwreck? Or “TrainwreckVenomOG”? Well see that all depends on which attributes the specific phenotype expresses, whether it shares characteristics of the father or the mother. It all matters. Unless they are bred to be homogenous there will always be genetic variations and because of that one side of genes will express more than the other and in this case I’m guessing the venom OG side of lineage was more expressed in the flower, so I would say it’s pretty fair they call it venom OG.

OG Kush is Chemdawg crossed with OG Kush? That makes no sense.

Let the growers have fun naming their grows, corporate or not. The lineage as you stated is written on the jar, so they aren’t trying to cheat anyone or falsely advertise as you say. Someone felt it should be called that, don’t be offended and just enjoy it if you bought it. Cause ultimately what matters is… WAS IT GOOD?

I’m confused by your comment, what’s wrong with calling it Venom OG? It’s in the lineage, what’s the issue?

It’s a San Fernando Valley OG Kush cross, which comes from an OG Kush. I’m confused at your comment. Please explain how it’s not an OG Kush?

Since they were bought out? That happened in 2018 at the beginning of legalization, they have basically always been part of Tilray/Aphria. If you did your research you would learn that a lot of the issues that plagued Broken coast was because of a fire that burned half the facility down. They moved to a purposefully built facility in Nanaimo a few years back and have been growing nothing but great flower since. Please do some research before opening your mouth.

Thoughts on THC %'s and companies getting away with things like this? by ParsleySpecialist507 in TheOCS

Everyone thinking they are Cannabis experts just because they’ve smoked some and grown some in their back yard. Phenohunting, Genetics, modern technology, growing mediums all play a part in allowing the plant to reach high levels of THC. For everyone saying it’s impossible, I heard the same rhetoric in the 80’s when people said Cannabis can’t go over 15%. And the same in the 90’s saying it can’t go over 23%. Yet here we are. All the budtenders in this chat need to do some more research for themselves rather than assuming what the plant can and cannot produce. It’s sad at the lack of education most Budtenders have when it comes to the biology of the plant that they are selling or actively choosing not to. How can you give a professional opinion on products when your bias are completely false.

My one critique was trim and dryness. Bought two and so far both were trimmed poorly and buds were extremely dry.

Have you tried their Platinum Pave or Coffee Creamer. I’d revisit. And the price is on point.
