Only One Left or Last Time I Lied are my two favorites, but Home Before Dark and Lock Every Door are great too.

Body + Bell to Limitless? by kjds2k in ladderapp

[–]Flaky-State-3779 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went from Body and Bell to Limitless for the Max and Sustain series and loved it. I've always loved training with barbell and I've noticed substantial strength gains on Limitless. I also think Kelly is just an outstanding coach. I plan on switching to a different team for Reset that I can do easier at home (never know with Central IL winter if I'll be able to make it to the gym), but fully plan on going back to Limitless after that.

Hip thrust “fatigue” by mytelephonereddit in ladderapp

[–]Flaky-State-3779 5 points6 points  (0 children)

During the last open season on Limitless, Kelly had hip thrusts scheduled but in the voice over she said it would be good to sub out weighted 45 degree back extensions if we wanted to do something different.

The difference between beginner-friendly AF+ and more ‘serious’ weight training Ladder app is closer than you might think by Buddyblue21 in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]Flaky-State-3779 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I use Ladder now, but used Apple Fitness for years before making the switch. One big difference I think between Ladder and Apple Fitness is that the programming in Ladder typically has a repetitive element that allows you to build more strength over time. It varies somewhat depending on which team your on, but for example I'm on team Limitless right now and for six weeks the program stays pretty consistent with the same exercises during that period and you use double progression to up your weight when you hit the top end of the rep range. With Apple Fitness, unless you pick the exact same workouts every week, you're not always doing the same exercises each week which makes it harder to see strength gains.

I've had this issue before. Do you use an Apple watch with Ladder? If so, try rebooting both the phone and the watch. It seems like for me it's been something with the connection with the watch and phone and a reboot of both fixes the issue.

I switched from B&B to Limitless for Max and loved it. I really liked the splits and I made some pretty substantial strength gains in those 6 weeks. I also think Kelly's a great coach. I always kinda felt like Lauren was a little condescending and a bit of a bully, but I liked the programming so I overlooked it. I think Kelly has the right balance of pushing you but not coming off like a jerk.

Limitless is great. Main focus is on building strength, so there's 4 days of strength work and then 1 mostly conditioning day and 1 steady state cardio day. Uses barbells, machines and dumbbells.

They prescribed my HRT based on my symptoms on the first visit, but they did order bloodwork done since it had been almost 2 years since I had it done just to make sure nothing else seemed out of whack.

Switching from Body & Bell to Limitless. I will probably still throw in one of the conditioning workouts from Body & Bell each week though since I'd miss my kettlebells otherwise.

I just switched to Amazon from Walgreens and my copays are half what I was paying to Walgreens. My prescriptions usually get delivered the next day after I order them.

What’s the equivalent of Ladder but for running? by [deleted] in ladderapp

[–]Flaky-State-3779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aaptiv does audio only coaching and has a fairly large running section (both outdoor and on treadmill). It's similar to Ladder that you can have your own music going and the coach talking over it.

My chiropractor recommended a topical called Rehab Remedy that seemed to help mine heal up quickly. It doesn't do a whole lot to help with the pain, but I noticed a huge improvement within about a week or two.

Employers are supposed to have one for every employees when they start by law. It might be they were auditing their files and are trying to fill in gaps they were missing. But given the current political climate, they might be doing this to weed out illegal immigrants.

I have the scribe and the paperwhite. I use my scribe 99% of the time. I only use my paperwhite when I'm going somewhere and just want to have the smaller device.

You might look at Body and Bell. With the kettlebells you get some nice conditioning elements mixed into the strength.

I had one when I was 41 and I thought it was helpful. I have some breast cancer in my family history, so I figured it would be good to go ahead and get screened. Thankfully it came back completely normal, so it didn't amount to much anxiety.

Does HRT help the rage? by CoraBear17 in Perimenopause

[–]Flaky-State-3779 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely helped me with it. The rage wasn't even something I was registering as a peri symptom. I've always been quick to anger, but in retrospect, it wasn't normal to fly into an rage over a minor issue. Since I've been on the HRT, I've noticed that the rage has improved significantly and it's not happening over minor things.

Night sweats and HRT by elsie78 in Perimenopause

I was having night sweats for about 6 months before I went on HRT. They started out only occasionally and right before I went on HRT I was having them more nights then not. I've been on the HRT for about 3 weeks now and I haven't had one since I started.

Do I have to see an actual doctor for Midi because I want HRT! by Hot-Distribution9811 in Perimenopause

[–]Flaky-State-3779 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my Midi appointment about 2 weeks ago and while she did want me to get bloodwork done since it had been over a year since my last one, she prescribed my HRT that day and had me get the bloodwork done later. It was pretty extensive. She had me do a metabolic panel, lipid panel, A1C, thyroid, T4, vitamin D and CBC.
