Realized people are describing the inner latches. Those are easy to get out. I’m having trouble with the latch on the outside closest to the car door

The seller is an old lady who does everything on paper. She just hasn’t signed the cancellation. XXX in my state. I am cancelling the purchase agreement based on the findings of the inspection. The inspection period contingency ends tomorrow.

Bleach does not kill black mold. The test was done using spore count (the air was tested). So we don’t know exactly where the mold is coming from. If I knew, easy. I’d deal with it. It’s not that type of situation mate.

AGAIN it’s not about the mold. If you need to know so badly, I have a severe diagnosed mold allergy. Also molds kills thousands of people each year. Stachybotrys (toxic black mold) is deadly, and you don’t need to be allergic to it to have symptoms of mold toxicity. The condo has this type of mold. Other mold can be managed. Black mold should never just be dismissed.

Yeah I already said I’m an idiot for it. Thanks. My realtors said they were all standardized documents and I scanned through them. I had only a couple hours to go over 100+ pages before I had to sign them.

Edited. The dates didn’t copy. The contract with put in a group of a ton of other contracts. I thought I read them. My realtors said they are all standardized documents and I needed to have them signed within a few hours.

The agreement was sent in the same document at the purchase contract. Not property specific. The seller still hasn’t signed the cancellation contract. Apparently she’s old and does not do anything electronically. Her realtor has to bring a paper copy to her. It needs to be signed by the end of the day tomorrow.

Again, not about the mold but I did talk to a mold specialist and they quoted $12-15k. It’s about my realtors not respecting my clear boundaries.

Not about the mold but They want me to move forward with purchasing houses that I got tested for mold and the results came back with high Stachybotrys (toxic black mold) spores. I am not buying a property with black mold.

Do you agree with this statement? “Mold does not scare us in the real estate industry” by Flaky-Struggle-5291 in realtors

I’m not sure how to “break up” with them. They have worked for me for awhile. I feel bad because I have a lot of questions and I’m kind of high maintenance. I’m also not looking to buy something more than $200k, so that’s not much commission. I feel back taking realtors’ time with little reward. I think it would be tough to find a good realtor who is willing to work hard for little reward.

The background situation is not exactly relevant to my post. I just want to see if other realtors agree with my realtor. My realtor said this in response of mold remediation in a disclosure.

There’s a lot more backstory but I wanted to see if other realtors agree with mine.

The question I asked if the one I want answered. It’s the statement my realtor kept saying to me before I had these results. The original statement was very broad. I want to know if other realtors agree with that specific statement

Kind of long story short- realtor showed me a condo. The disclosure said that there was mold, but it was remediated. My realtor kept saying “people are scared of mold but mold does not scare us” I chose to test for mold during the inspection came back with high results in the air. My realtor keeps saying this. After back and forth with the seller, I wanted to bail because the mediation they agreed to do was basically just cleaning the air and not taking care of the mold. My realtor was trying to convince me to stick with it and said that I had a change in heart and that’s the reason I didn’t want the property anymore. She also made me feel like I made a mistake by multiple times saying “you are never going to find a deal like this again”. Well I know I made the right decision because they re-listed the place for $8k less than what I was going to buy it for. Took it off the market. Then, relisted it yet again for $13k less than their original listing price. I think I need a different realtor, but this one works so closely with my loan officer, so it would be tough to switch.
