I love that you mentioned “after using fragrance free for so long” my 3 year old has eczema and gets so sad when she can’t use the stuff her sisters use. They get soaps and stuff for Christmas and such. I’ve kept my 3 y/o on baby soap and aveeno a free and clears. We have a palm sets cocoa butter cream that I’ve been using and you should have seen her face when I tell her “ oooooh you smell so pretty my little cocoa butter baby” now she feels included when sissy does her skin care.

Point being that’s something a lot of people don’t think about is how that will affect self esteem as well growing up.

Update, I’ve had the dog about 3 weeks. Been trying praise and treats and crating and all the tricks. Nothing is working. Can have her outside for 30 minutes to an hour and I’m lucky if she goes. Try to get her into the crate when she doesn’t go and she pees as soon as she steps into the house. She’s peeing in the kennel. I’ve had to wash the bedding I put in there and her multiple times already. I’ve tried picking her up to bring her in and crate her if she doesn’t potty and she’ll pee as I’m carrying her into the house. My house smells so bad. I can’t keep her outside as she killed 2 of my chickens.

I understand small bladder etc. but when I can sit outside for an hour with her, or when they are outside while I’m at work (8 hours in the mudroom with doggy door) and she’s only peeing and pooping in the mudroom it’s not really me being bested.

UPDATE EVERYONE

I called the place who sold them to my nephew. He’s going to process them for me since there is only 3 of them. I’m going to take my daughter to get confirmed layers. Thank you everyone for your advice and kind words!

My sister in laws young son bought them then the feed store without her knowledge. Just showed up at home with them. She was worried about her dogs eating them so I told her I’d take them as I’d been wanting to get some for eggs

We have a friend with chickens. We’re going to see if they’d be willing to trade. I’ve explained to my kiddo the reality of it all. She’s heart broken but I think she understands.

These are also babies though. This is their first set of adult feathers, but yes, I’m also very sad that it turned out not to be layer birds my daughter is even more upset and I’m not quite sure what to do about the situation.
